Note 28 Mar 2004    Weather or not (TEMPORARILY DISABLED)  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

I have been to the cache today and officially opened it again for the season!! I must ask that you do not drive to the final parking spot but park at N4220.284 / W07821.329 until the roads become a little more accessable. This will add about a 10 minute walk to your adventure. I guarantee that it will be 10 minutes well spent! Once the leaves start to dry out I would appreciate if the final cache could be covered up a little better. Please try and help me out on this one. I was amazed to find a lot of NICE items still in the final cache, please trade fairly. ENJOY!!

Note 13 Oct 2003    Weather or not (TEMPORARILY DISABLED)  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2 )

Due to the nature of this cache being on State land, I believe that closing it during the hunting season is the right thing to do. I will wait until the snow melts before opening it again as the first and second parts would be extremely difficult to find in the snow

I found it! 14 Jun 2003    Richard's Park Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Out and about hoping for good flying weather at the Jamesville Beach Balloon
Fest. The rain can stop at any time and it would not break our hearts. Neat out
of the way spot and lots of mosquitos too!! We left a lot of blood on this one.
We left some playing cards and took a golf ball. Thanks very much for the hide..

Note 02 Jun 2003    Cattaraugus Creek#2 Scoby Dam Park  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

As of tonight, this cache has been reactivated and is in good working order... Please enjoy it!!

I found it! 24 May 2003    Dishmill Creek Micro  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

We are trying to get at least one balloon flight out of the park this weekend... Unfortunately the weather is not being too cooperative. In our non ballooning time we have decided to do this cache as a filler for the middle of the day. Balloonpilot, Chickenlips, WW Gobstopper and Roadrash all gave it 100%... It was Chickenlips that was first finder.. I hate when she does that!! I guess that I should start looking for the obvious!! We took the Wheres George dollar and left a squeeze flashlight in trade. We had a great time and appreciate your fine effort.. Thank you!

Note 20 Apr 2003    Cattaraugus Creek#2 Scoby Dam Park  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Sorry about the inconvenience but some lovely soul robbed the first box containing the letterbox log book and final coordinates.

I found it! 24 Mar 2003    Wyoming County Forest #1  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

What can I say!!! There is something about this particular cache that I just can't put my finger on..
Nice job Brogan, we had a lot of fun on this little adventure. Chickenlips was trying out her new GPS and all seemed to work rather well. We took the baseball bat tape and left a baseball. Took a picture with the cache camera and it looks like 22 pics are left. Thanks for a great evening...

I found it! 16 Feb 2003    Beaver Meadow  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

We knew we'd be in the neighborhood but we weren't sure we were actually going to get out caching today... Amazing how you can make time for the important things in life! This was our first cache of the day, and what a cold day it was. We had Roadrash along who had been to this cache before, and also two others who will log this in as their own find soon. We were baffled for a little while and Chickenlips even looked right at it two times. We eventually got lucky and found the cache. Great spot too I might add. We took the potholder and left some underwater nature cards. We took one picture with the cache camera. Thanks again...on to #2!!

I found it! 16 Feb 2003    Beaver Meadows #2  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 2 )

We can't decide which side of the road is coldest. This winter caching in single digit temperatures took it's toll on all of us. We are going back after the snow melts to look for my index finger that broke off when I bumped it on a tree branch. This was a cool spot that was naturally left here just for an ammo box!! Very nice cache and a good hike. We took and left nothing at this one but we did take a picture with the cache camera. Thanks again!!

I found it! 15 Feb 2003    Olmsted #1 - The Park  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1.5 )

We were in the park doing a tether job today, or at least we tried to!! We were going to set the balloon up for the Winterfest but the winds just didn't cooperate with us. So we did the next best thing.. We were less than .2 mile from this cache when we started out. We found the cache immediately with the deadly accurate coordinates that were provided. Cache is in great shape but was a little stuck to the ground at first. I guess that happens when it's 12 degrees outside. We took the drawing compass and left a teleidascope. We also took 2 pictures with the cache camera. Thanks for a great afternoon in the park

I found it! 15 Feb 2003    Olmsted #1c - The Park  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

Three for three, now our day is complete.. We had a great time with all the Olmsted caches today. One would wonder how you fit a little box into that spot..One would also wonder why it took us so long to realize just how easy it was to remove it!! Now that wasn't nice, but it sure got a good laugh out of all of us. Again, the coordinates couldn't have been better. We left a Balloon Federation Sticker and an American Flag sticker. We left as quickly as possible as not to draw attention to ourselves on this busy afternoon. Thanks for some very nice caches today!!

  cameraBitter COLD!!!

I found it! 18 Jan 2003    Akron Falls Winterfest Event Cache  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

It has been a while since we've had a chance to do anything that pertains to caching... This was time well spent. We enjoyed the company of old friends and we met some new ones. A bit testy on the outside today but the warmth of our fellow cachers made the day bearable. Thank you for a great day and the quilt was extroardinary.

  cameraChickenlips found it!!

Note 13 Oct 2002    Year...Days Are Numbered (temporarily disabled)  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

I have found the cache box in good shape...not in it's original spot. I am very close to rehiding the box or pulling the cache completely. This area gave me bad feelings from the start. All the beer cans in the cemetery and all the toppled gravestones, indicates to me that the youth of the area would not treat this cache with respect if they found it.

I found it! 05 Oct 2002    What's the Point  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1 )

As always, Roadkill has provided some views that were breathtaking. We saw several other
cachers in the area while searching for this cache....GO FIGURE!! Almost felt like a production
line. We took and left nothing only because Balloonpilot forgot our loot today..We signed the
logbook and headed back to civilization...Thanks for the great hide.

I found it! 05 Oct 2002    Brogan's Topo Lesson  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 3.5 )

What a way to end the day!! We searched for this cache with about 300 other cachers!!!
seemed that way to me!! We played the huckle buckle game and proceeded to huckle buckle
hill while the others searched on. This was a clever hide and was one we won't easily forget.
Signed in but took and left nothing. Thank you for the memorable experience.

I found it! 08 Sept 2002    Erwin Hollow Overlook  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 3 )

We had one heck of a hike on this one!! We jockeyed the parking coordinates around a
little bit and pretty much went straight into the cache. It's not always good to do that kind of
hike after overeating... Beautiful spot and a lot of fun for us before our trip back home today.
We found the cache with very little trouble and when we were able to breathe again, we
opened it. We signed the log book, took nothing and left a parachute toy. Thank you for a
job well done. We definately needed the exercise tonight..

I found it! 02 Sept 2002    INSPIRATION POINT GEOCACHE  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Well, we must have done something wrong!!! We turned this one into a level 5...
Someday we're going to buy some good maps. We had a long hot adventure by the time we
had finished this cache. We took the Mr. Measure ruler and left a blue eraser. Nice job on
this one Rocky.. Thanks for all the fun.

I found it! 01 Sept 2002    Jacobs' Jest  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Wow...What a great adventure indeed! We really enjoyed the beautiful hike. I'm sorry to say that we really wanted to be the first to find this cache but were beat out by the master!! Oh well, better luck next time!! We took a pin on compass and left a smiley baseball and a train whistle. We're not sure about this insider trading thing. Thanks for a great cache and a job very well done..
[Modified 2002-09-03 05:41:37]

I found it! 31 Aug 2002    The Hatfield's and McCoy's  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

our 3rd and final cache of the morning. Super great area and a very nice cache. We had a lot of people out treasure hunting this morning...Roadkill was part of the A team but didn't get too many Huckle Buckles!! We took the playing cards and left some eraser coins. Thanks for the adventure..

I found it! 31 Aug 2002    Deep Pine Forest Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Our second cache of the day. We had three caches to do in this general area and had fun with all of them. The newbies even seem to be liking this a bit!! This is a very nice area and a great hiking spot. We took the stress relief ball and left some silly putty. Thanks for a nice way to spend our morning.
[Modified 2002-08-31 23:22:58]

I found it! 25 Aug 2002    Bullhead Cache  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Very nice area that we never knew existed. Especially liked the Piranha!! Fortunately for
us, some of the other hikers had some bread scraps. All we had to do was sit back and enjoy
the show!! The Garmin didn't have satellites almost all the way to the cache. The Magellan on
the other hand always seems to come through for us in heavy cover. Once we were close to
the cache (so we thought) signals were very erratic. I was several hundred feet off at one
point and when the Magellan found the cache, my Garmin seemed to cooperate. Finally had a
good reading of less than 20 feet at the cache site. Very nice hide and we expecially liked
being first to this cache. We had two others with us who enjoyed themselves very much as
well. We took the geodes and the flashlight and left a new homemade balloonpilot train
whistle and a Nerf mini flying football. Thanks for showing us a great spot. We will return
with our own bread scraps!!

I found it! 24 Aug 2002    End of 18  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

While we were on our way out on the backside of the trail, the cache owner was going to the cache with another geocacher!! When they got to the cache, Roadkill commented that Balloonpilot & Chickenlips haven't been to this cache yet... Ohhhhhhhh Yes they were commented the other geocacher...and we just missed them.. Roadkill has a knack for taking people to very nice scenic or historical sites...this was the case again. We enjoyed the hike very much and would recommend this cache to all cachers. We took a fantastic necklace out of the cache..probably valued somewhere between 5 or 6 hundred dollars and only left a Bear stamper and some small plastic containers... Roadkill will understand, he's good about things like that. Thanks again for the great adventure..

I found it! 16 Aug 2002    Lookout Rock Cache  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 4 )

What can you say about this one but...Nice workout!! I wonder how many cachers have parked at the parking spot and then turned around and went to the ice cream store instead!! All kidding aside we had a lot of hot fun on this one. We had 3 GPS's working this cache and we were all kinda/sorta close. Chickenlips was the first to find it once I gave her the clue. I must say, you were right when you said this one is well hidden. It was fun being first and I think a lot of cachers would actually have a good time hiking up the mountain. The area and the cache were great but the workout can't be beat. We took a G.I. Joe Jeep and left some stick on protective felt pads...Thanks Rippie for the superb climb.
[Modified 2002-08-19 22:20:57]

I found it! 16 Aug 2002    Settler`s Cabin Cache  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 4 )

Wow.......Level 4 is about right!! We huffed and puffed all the way to the top from the Lookout Rock Cache. We weren't about to leave this spot until both caches had been found. Really neat area and I'm sure some interesting history applies. I wish we had more time to look around on the top of the Mountain but we had other obligations. We could always come back, but I'm not too sure what Chickenlips and WW Gobstopper would say about that, well, I do know what they would say!!!! We found the cache intact but extremely damp. It appears that nobody has found this even though it looks to be in a very popular spot. We took the electrical tape and left a yellow rubber duck.. Rippie, I bet your ears were ringing today!! Thanks very much for the climb...

I found it! 02 Aug 2002    mouse's tree house, by the Gamehendge Rangers  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Where do we begin with this one!!! ....How about excellent job and superb layout and
planning...We thoroughly enjoyed having to work a little bit to reach the final plateau! We all
left several claw marks on the sheer cliff walls... Amazing what you really don't have to do if
you pay attention to the obvious... We had a lot of laughs and would recommend this to any
Geocachers with open minds...One very important rule to remember is that There are NO rules
for Geocaching This can make it a bit tougher at times but thats what we are in this
for...Nothing better than matching wits with the cache owner...We all thank you very much
for a job above and beyond well done...Thank you. We took the rubber duck and and left a
Matchbox helicopter. We also dropped off the Travelbug Lady needing N.Y. Fireman for
someone else to move along.

I found it! 20 Jul 2002    FawCow'ee Challenge  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 4.5 )

Roadkill...........you devil!! You have a knack for placing extremely interesting caches. If I hadn't eaten so much for breakfast, I'd have made it up twice as fast. Lot of good that would have done me, I was Huckle Buckled by the best of them this day! We had a great time with our new Pennsylvania caching friend. Some things we will remember forever. Roadkill and the Hoodlebug were made for one another..like bread and butter you might say! Some of the caching party saw a good sized coyote when we were on our way down. That was a nice bonus for some of us. Roadkill, thanks again for a great frienship and a great cache..

I found it! 19 Jul 2002    Scenic Vista  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 4.5 )

We are on our way to fly at the Wellsville balloon rally and in a VERY roundabout way
decided to do some caching!! Chickenlips found the cache very quickly... she has a nose for
these things. We couldn't see much of the scenic view because the fog had us socked in.. Oh
well, we can come back and look at another date. We took nothing but left a magnifying
glass. Thanks for the hunt...
[Modified 2002-08-19 22:01:10]

I found it! 30 Jun 2002    1779 Memorial Tree  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Very nice spot..Mosquitos even think so...all 50 million of them!! Balloonpilot, Chickenlips
and Roadkill visited this cache today but Roadkill was acting photographer as he'd already
found this cache earlier this year. We had a little bit of trouble but eventually came to our
senses.. Very nice spot Gamma Kitt & Coyote...very nice indeed. Roadkill took 2 pictures with
the cache camera and it is now on #13 after winding. We took the puzzle and left a hacky
sack. We decided that we should also take the travelbug Ima Webfoot... We will place this
travelbug in a cache in our neighborhood very soon. Thanks for the nice cache..

I found it! 30 Jun 2002    Blair Witch  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

We found the cache but we're really disappointed at the condition that it's in. I would really like to meet the person responsible for shooting the ammo box with the shotgun. I would probably tell him how good a shot he really is!! So...We took most everything apart, separating cardboard from cache items to weed out all the damp unecessary things and then placed everything into a zip lock bag. Roadkill did some fabricating on the box to try and close up the hole in the bottom.
We took nothing and left nothing but our signatures in the logbook. Thanks for the nice way to end our caching day.

I found it! 29 Jun 2002    Busy as a Beaver  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Who put that there?? What a cool spot. We had some free time before the evening flight and decided to do some serious caching.. Balloonpilot, Chickenlips, WW Gobstopper and Roadkill made time for this one. Roadkill had been to this cache earlier in the year and was along for some good laughs. Between falling down, stepping in wet spots and getting hot feet... we had a great time.. We took the potato chip bag clip and left a rain poncho. Thanks for a nice way to spend the morning.

I found it! 23 Jun 2002    FISH'S SPAWN  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

Nice job you guys...and a great walk to boot!! We had been in that exact spot about 20 years
ago when we still lived in the Buffalo area. We had little troble finding this one as the
coordinates were dead on. Amazing how nice a GPS can work outside of heavy tree cover..
We had some new cachers with us and I am thinking maybe they are hooked... How this
could possibly happen, we're not sure.. We took the golf balls and tees as well as the
marbles. We left a Karma bracelet and some sports rubber stamps. Looking out over the
water my nephew noticed the moored gas balloon at the falls area..rather nice to see that.
Thanks for the walk and the superb cache...

I found it! 23 Jun 2002    ERIE'S END  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Excellent job if we must say so ourselves! We've come to the conclusion that you people
really like to walk. Thank god we do too!! We had grown up in this neighborhood and it was
great to get back into town again. Upon reaching our first destination we were a little
baffled...Only until we really opened up our eyes that is. As we walked back shaking our
heads and grinning, we had hoped we had enough time to complete all the tasks. But then
again, what is time when you're having this much fun. Upon reaching our second destination
I examined the area while 3 or 4 fisherman looked at me like I was crazy. Maybe that's
prerequisite for this madness, I'm not too sure!! I explained what I was doing and they
decided not to beat me up..Onward and upward... We found the cache at 8:15, 2 hours and 15
minutes from the start of this exciting adventure. We had a great time on both of your caches
today and hope to get back and do more of yours in the very near future. Thanks for a great
way to finish up our day.

I found it! 09 Jun 2002    Clark's Outback  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

The trail system within this park is really amazing. We hope to get back in the future just to
do some more hiking. The cache was well hidden but the coordinates were very deadly!! We
had a lot of fun with this one. Being new to letterboxing, we tried to hit as many letterbox
caches as possible for the time frame we had. Thanks for a great time..
[Modified 2002-08-19 22:03:53]

I found it! 09 Jun 2002    Clark's Revenge  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 2 )

Nice spot!! We liked the park very much and will return in the future. We had 2 GPS's
working this cache and both were right on to the supplied coordinates. We took the
emergency candles and left a new deck of playing cards. Thanks for a great adventure.
[Modified 2002-08-19 22:02:41]

I found it! 08 Jun 2002    Clark's Cliff Trek  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 3 )

We had a little time to kill between flights and started this one from outside the park gates!!
We didn't mind the arrow on the GPS (which had stopped when we made a turn in the trail)
and ended up on the wrong side of the trail at first!!! So, now we did it right, and after about
ten minutes we had a lot better luck. Great area for a hide...We took the wordgame and left a
hand crafted new train whistle in it's place. Thank you for a great way to spend time between
balloon flights at Jamesville Beach Park. This was our 50th find.I guess thats GOLDEN!!!

I found it! 08 Jun 2002    Erie Canal Escapade  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

I almost feel as if I cheated on this one...enought said!!! While climbing around the hill, I had
a very neat fall. Legs were straight out as I grabbed a tree which brush burned my arm from
top to bottom...God, I love this game. When Chickenlips and WW Gobstopper finished
laughing at me, we then made the best of our hunt. It took a little bit, but we found it after a
little hunting. This was our first letterbox hybrid cache and we did come equipped with our
stamps. Thank you for the nice cache and downhill ride. We should also have come
equipped with bug spray, as we were being eaten alive... All in all. we had a lot of fun. Thank
you

I found it! 07 Jun 2002    Avon Calling Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

Talk about winging it....We were going to do this cache about three weeks ago when we flew
at the Letchworth State Park balloon get together...Unfortunately we ran out of time as most
geocachers do and you know how the rest of the story goes..Soooooo this weekend we're on
our way to fly in Syracuse, taking the long way around of course and decided to try the
cache as the GPS still had the coordinates.. All we lacked was the paperwork....Who needs
paperwork anyway!!..We had a very nice early morning walk of 1.25 miles and back out the
same way...Excellent walk if we must say so ourselves. Saw some deer, rabbits and one
friendly Yellow Lab. We had very little trouble finding the cache (probably because you
didn't place this one in thorns and bramble bushes)..We took a pack of pens and left a
package of velcro stick on disks. Thanks for the great morning adventure

Note 01 Jun 2002    ROCHESTER AND AREA CACHERS GET-TOGETHER!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

We had a great time at the picnic, and finally being able to put faces with all the names was very interesting to say the least. Thank you Quinn for all your effort and time. We appreciated it very much...Thank you Jim Peg and Jill

Note 29 May 2002    ROCHESTER AND AREA CACHERS GET-TOGETHER!  ( Difficulty: 1    Terrain: 1 )

Balloonpilot, Chickenlips and WW Gobstopper will be there no matter what!! We are undecided on what to bring, but will eventually come to our senses!!

I found it! 27 May 2002    HOGS BACK VISTAS  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Found the cache but may have lost my cell phone here... We did this cache many times this
weekend, once for the cache and 3 times for the cell phone!! Still no phone...oh well...Nuff
about that phone. We took one pic with the cache camera while WW modeled the hat!! We
took the electrical tape and left a pack of fishing bobbers. Thank you very much for a great
area. We saw a deer standing on the edge of the ravine as we neared the cache!!

I found it! 24 May 2002    Silver Lake Rail Road Trail  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Were your ears ringing on Friday morning?? This one drove us crazy for quite a while. Leave
the trail, come into the cache, leave the cache and try again only to come back to the same
spot!!! Well let me tell you this...you did an excellent job at hiding this one!! We all had a
good laugh when Chickenlips found it. This is the kind of excitement we needed to make our
day.. Took the electric plate hookits and the smile faces. Left a 2 piece key chain with light
attached and a pack of Q-tips... Thank you very much for this little episode, we won't forget
about this one for a while...

I found it! 28 Apr 2002    KID STUFF  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

We had to take the balloon in for inspection today so we made the best out of a very
miserable wet soggy day. We could have found this cache much quicker had I entered the
correct coordinates into the GPS!!! So after being off 1.25 miles for an hour, we poked in the
right numbers and found the cache within a reasonable amount of time...EXCELLENT spot...
Almost made for Geocaching!! We took the parachute guy and left some glitter bracelets. We
dropped off a travelbug in this cache as well. Thank you for an exciting memorable hunt.

I found it! 28 Apr 2002    5-ALIVE  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Second find of four today...New world record, 2 caches in 10 minutes!! We were at the cache
and didn't notice a lady jogger coming bye until her dogs rushed the fort!! Scared the
(*&^$@(* out of us..Chickenlips let out a pretty good scream and I think the jogger was as
scared as we were... Anyway, we took the Cross in my pocket and left a deck of mini playing
cards. Neat spot and a nice cache..Thank you for the hunt

I found it! 28 Apr 2002    Round Lake National Natural Landmark  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

This is #3 of 4 today. Took about 5 minutes to find even with poor satellite coverage.
Chickenlips had this one pegged shortly into the hunt. We took a brochure and the furby
and left a rain poncho and a golfball. This was a good day for rain ponchos and a poor day
for golf balls!!! I took 1 picture with your cache camera and I either broke it for the second or
you're out of pictures!! I think the latter is true. Thank you for an exciting hunt.

I found it! 28 Apr 2002    A Soldier's Pay  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Four for Four!!!! wow, long day, we're going to get dry clothes on and have some dinner
before our 3 hour drive home. We liked the cache location but that hill is a killer.. Especially
since we put on about 100 miles rambling aimlessly about the park for the better part of the
day. We signed the logbook, took nothing but left a deck of miniature playing cards. Thanks
for a nice way to end our day.

I found it! 13 Apr 2002    Low & Behold (Read Warning)  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Bravo, nice job Roadkill. We visited the cache at 11:30 this morning. We always assume that
we'll be happy at any of your sites because of the time and research you put into them, this
was no exception!!! We used to use that picnic area over 25 years ago...brought back some
old memories for us!! Despite the downpour, we had a great time finding this cache. The Map
76 was dead on but the e-trex venture was out in Hooterville somewhere.. Chickenlips found
this one as soon as I pointed her off the trail. We took 2 pictures with your camera. We took
nothing and left nothing but did sign the logbook. Thanks for an interesting morning.

Balloonpilot & chickenlips will be there, probably with at least the daughter in tow. Theres so many people that we're looking forward to meeting. We will bring side dishes too, but not too sure what they will be yet!!

I found it! 08 Mar 2002    Buffalo Bill's Cache  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 1.5 )

Chickenlips and I had a little time to kill before meeting some friends today.... So, we decided to take advantage of the area we were at to do some caching. We were thrown a little by the picture because things looked just a little different than we had expected. The GPS coordinates provided took us to within a couple feet of the cache. It was chickenlips persistence that paid off in the long run. I must admit, she is getting real good at finding these things.. We didn't take any of the cache items but we did leave some silly putty for the younger people that may visit the cache. We did however take the Ms M&M Imposter and will place her in another cache very soon. We have not yet decided on where that might be just yet!!! This was a fun cache and we were surprised that nobody else has taken advantage of it yet. THanks again...Balloonpilot and Chickenlips

I found it! 24 Feb 2002    An Akron Walk  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

If you can't aquire satellites on this adventure, it's time for a new GPS.. The road to the
cache doesn't get much better than this one. This was our 2nd cache of the day, and it was a
pleasure just enjoying the walk to the hiding spot. We took the beads and left a magnifying
glass. Thank you very much for a nice way to end our caching day.

I found it! 24 Feb 2002    Eversure's C&S Cache....  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

Excellent location if we must say so... We found the fungi, and the rest is history. We
visited the cache site at approx. 2:20, not even expecting to attempt any caches today.. Seems
that DMC was interested in finding out just what geocaching was all about so we took the
opportunity to show him the ins and outs and ups and downs of this exciting game. We took
the watertight first aid kit and left a pack of hand warmers..ahhhhhhhhhhh yes, we also have
in our possession the hitch hiker Boudreaux... We will place him in another cache soon and
log his new home when he has one. Thanks for a great way to spend the afternoon..

I found it! 24 Dec 2001    Glen Falls Aquaview  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

This is much more enjoyable when the weather is in the 70's and 80's. On top of a blinding
snowstorm, I forgot my boots and almost went skiing down the first hill I came to.
Chickenlips and Gobstopper had a good laugh when that happened!! The GPS was not
cooperative at all with the snow coming down the way it was but we managed on several
occasions to come reasonably close to where the cache was hidden. The couple inches of
snow on top of everything was also a hindrance. In desperation, we looked for almost 30
minutes before finding the cache. And that my friends, was purely by accident. We couldn't
see any bark exposed to even slightly point us in the right direction. I started scraping snow
off some of the trees and when I heard the hollow sound, I knew we had it. We tried to sign
the tiny little log but with the snow flying as it was, we were only able to put our names in it.
We took nothing but did leave a tube of 0.5mm mechanical pencil lead. As far as
garbage.......we didn't see a thing!! The last picture posted here may be too much of a clue, so
try to avoid looking at it until you find the cache on your own........Cm'on be a sport!! Ohhh
yeah, we had a doe run up to us while we were walking around in circles. Thanks for an
enjoyable day in the country within the city.

I found it! 14 Dec 2001    East Aurora Webcam Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

We decided to stop in East Aurora after work. The idea behind the webcam cache is surely
an interesting one to say the least. This is a great way to get people into town to do some
last minute shopping!! The weather wasn't the greatest and chickenlips was in a hurry to get
out of the rain. After one quick picture we ran for cover. Fortunatly we didn't start
melting....Thanks for the cache...

I found it! 16 Sept 2001    Penny's Point  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

After using two tanks of gas to save a $5.00 park fee, I am thinking it's about time to invest in a good
map as you have suggested!! Once we got to the parking spot it was only a couple minutes until we
located the cache. Our GPS was accurate to within about 20'. Chickenlips was quick to jump on this
one. We took the knife and left a tape measure. Thank you for a great geocaching adventure.

I found it! 09 Sept 2001    West Meets East  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 3 )

This was our 2nd cache of the day, and again it was a great roadkill adventure. We found this one
rather quickly as one of our team members has a good nose for this geocaching game. We took the
small flashlight and left 2 packages of post-it notes. We also picked up the M&M hitchhiker dude that
was placed in the cache not 45 minutes before we arrived at the site. We will tend to him for a short
while, as we have big plans for him in the near future. Thanks for another great hunt.

I found it! 09 Sept 2001    Verda Says Hi (see Last Log)  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

We are still shaking our heads. This was our third Roadkill related cache of the day and we
already had expected the unexpected! We enjoyed this one as much as the previous two.
What a way to end the day. We took the Wheres George dollar and left a pack of 3X5 index
cards. This one is highly recommended.

I found it! 09 Sept 2001    Gibsonville Doublet  ( Difficulty: 4    Terrain: 2.5 )

We started this one on Labor day on our way home from the Dansville balloon rally. I must
admit, we did try very hard to complete this one, but just ran out of time!! Seems that the GPS
was much kinder to us on our 2nd attempt which allowed us to find the cache in just a short
period of time. The time and effort that Roadkill put into this cache makes it tops on our list.

I found it! 07 Sept 2001    ETERNAL FLAMES FALLS  ( Difficulty: 1.5    Terrain: 3 )

It was getting late but we didn't give up. We parked on the road (after hours!) and had a very nice walk
to the cache site. GPS was not doing too bad but we had to be creative anyway just to find the cache.
Chickenlips found it after about 5 minutes of waking in circles. We took the travel board game and left a
compass. We continued down to the eternal flame(we had to light it) and climbed out of the bottom in
the dark. A good move, since it was actually much shorter than the trail we had entered on. Thanks for
our 2nd cache find today.

I found it! 07 Sept 2001    CHESTNUT RIDGE  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 1.5 )

We located the cache at 6:45 after a nice walk up the stream. GPS was right on target!! We took the
Serenity Prayer card and left hot air balloon stickers and also some plant supports. Thanks for the
night out!

I found it! 03 Sept 2001    Naples Creek Cache  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

WOW!! This was our first First... It was a great feeling being the first people to the cache, and it was a
great way to start our caching day. Chickenlips spotted the cache rather quickly once we left the path.
We took the compass and left a manacure set and whoopee cushion. We did take a picture with the
camera provided. We both thank you for a great walk in the woods.

I found it! 01 Sept 2001    MOTHER OF ROCKY  ( Difficulty: 3    Terrain: 3 )

We thought this was supposed to be easy!!It was a tough walk in from where we started. For
got to mark that point but knew the way the road ran and followed the compass out .5 mile.
We came out 100 feet from the entry point. We did not have the GPS accuracy we needed
and kind of stumbled on to the cache. We took the rubber bungees and left a sewing kit..It
was a nice ending to a full geocaching day.
