Note 26 Sept 2002    Gone Fishin...Back Soon!  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Normally this time of year cache site pretty well deserted. Must be summerlike weather keeping folks around a little longer. As weather cools observers should not be a problem.

I found it! 22 Sept 2002    Goose Poop Trail  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 1.5 )

Wow! Goose poop is BIG! Walked very carefully on terrific trails. Interesting area, thanks for taking us here. As usual, we had an interesting approach to cache site...took TRAIL back!

We left: mini MaMa Bear, race car, book marks (for the cache creator), and some airplanes,

We took: key chain, snail, happy-sad face magnets & Jerm took shirt to wear to school tomorrow.

Thanks for a GREAT cache...and a GREAT time!

MaMa Bear, BJD 1955, BD & Jerm

PS This cache introduced us to this game...Thanks for another geocaching site!

I found it! 22 Sept 2002    Brandi's Buzzard Bate  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2 )

Last cache of a 5 cache day. Arrived in area about 7:30 PM with darkness approaching. After several goofy attempts to get AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO CACHE SITE found Lyndon Bridge ( interesting it was on LYNDON Rd.) Oh boy, another canal one - which side this time...drove around a bit and ended up @ RR tracks...what the heck Let's TRY the tracks service road!! Worked... we were getting closer & closer...found a turn-around place and parked the car. GPS reading about 300 feet! BUSHWACKED to site...found it thanks to flashlights! (I never knew weeds could grow 8 FEET tall...Next SAVE TIME fools have a path at least!) Four of us on this one, MaMa Bear, BJD1955, BD, and Jerm! We are still laughing!

Left travel bug Fred the Head, TRAIN (Yes, one did go by), a fireman and a mini MaMa Bear.

Took George $, star sun glasses, McDonald toy, and pez,

Thanks for a great end to a great week=end!

I found it! 07 Sept 2002    Where Canal It Be?  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 1 )

Last cache of the day! This COULD have been so easy...but ...walked at least a mile in a great big old circle to get where I wanted to go. As I approached site was very thankful I didn't run out of pier. Proceeded, found cache ... tried really hard to be inconspicuous...however, boaters returning to marina kept waving to me trying to be INCONSPICIOUS! But that's not the end to the story...had to get back to car. It started getting dark and getting back meant a bit of bushwacking...I MET a new form of vegetation...new to me at least...NETTLES! ALL my uncovered body parts still are tingling and feel like they're asleep. (The lotions are helping). Anyway...had a great day and of course many unexpected experiences!! Oh, I took a clock (to remind me not to geocache so late in the day) and left a pogo stick/skate board THING. Thanks again for all these new experiences...MaMa Bear, Auburn, NY

I found it! 07 Sept 2002    Billy Bones  ( Difficulty: 2.5    Terrain: 2.5 )

Had a lot of fun with this one...as always hiked a gorge we could have avoided IF we had driven just a little bit farther. But, what else is new. Cemetary was very interesting (will upload pics later). Did our math right ( good thing as I'm a math teacher by day) and found cache...again across the gorge from where WE were. Thanks for a great cache. Took lion stickers & screwdrivers...left a puzzle and bear figurine...MaMa Bear & BJD1955

I found it! 07 Sept 2002    Petey's Keep Out Place II  ( Difficulty: 2    Terrain: 2.5 )

BJD1955 HAD to leave...so did this one on my own. Decided to start paying attention to hints and DID park where suggested. Walk in was about .8 mi but so Paved, so Level, so Near the Lake...really enjoyed it! Cache site was very interesting...this place must have been something else during the war. Left First-Aid Kit, hot wheels car, and flashlight w/batteries...took Aaron Neville CD (oh what a mellow voice) & pin for my geohat pin collection. Thanks for a great cache...MaMa Bear, Auburn, NY

Wow...had a good hike today. Clever hiding place - it took me a while. Went in where you did - got to cross all 3 bridges . Like an amateur going out...like a peo coming back .
Took cable ties to help me assemble travel bugs and left a first aid kit. Will post bridge pictures when I get them developed...no digital camera yet. Thanks for the nice cache. Hope you enjoyed your stay at Cayuga Lake State Park.

Enjoyed inspecting the lock and took pictures of the falls. Nice walk to cache...however, partner leery of walking over lock door so found this one alone. Took shell nite lite and left bear key chain, a puzzle for the kids, and a roll of duct tape. Thanks for the nice cache.
