This cache will take you on a nice walking tour of Delaware Park. Each leg will take you to a statue/monument of some sort, and you'll have to do a little calculating of numbers to get the coordinates for the final. The final is a medium sized lock-n-lock wrapped in camouflage tape.

Start your journey at the above coordinates! Parking is nearby, N 42 55.893 W 078 52.429 will be about as close as you can get.

Use this format to get to the cache:
N 42 DE. LAW
W 078 52. ARE

Welcome! This is the first of six steps on your journey! This guy is probably familiar to you. What year was this statue presented to the city of Buffalo? The last digit of the year equals "D".

Now proceed to N 42 55.944 W 078 52.440. This spot used to go by a different name "back in the day". "E" equals the LAST digit of the LAST year that this District Councilman served PLUS two.

Let's go to N 42 56.038 W 078 52.396 now. This is work is by another guy that you might have heard of. "L" equals the FIRST digit of the FIRST year MINUS one. "A" equals the THIRD digit of the SECOND year MINUS three.

Proceed to N 42 56.060 W 078 52.237. The number on the sign is _ _ _. "W" equals the LAST digit of this number.

Now go to N 42 56.036 W 078 52.108. The backside of the work reads "This artwork was a gift from JAMES FORSYTH FUND" "A"equals the LAST digit of the year MINUS one. "R" equals the SECOND digit of the year.

One more step! Go to N 42 56.011 W 078 52.071. This work was erected by a "few of his friends" in ____. Use the THIRD digit of the year and ADD two to get "E"

I went to Delaware Park this evening to do my run so I decided to incorporate this cache into my it. Made it the Running Tour of Delaware Park. After decoding all of the clues I moved onto the final location. Tried to enter the area from the wrong direction the first time and got rather wet from the earlier rain still clinging to the leaves. Walked around for a bit and found a much easier way to access the needed area. Once I got in there finding the cache was a breeze. It was in the second place I looked. Grabbed the TB to take to Boston with me later this week. Thanks much for a great tour of the park and its history!

After confirmaing our calculations with MR HB himself while finalizing a delivery of ammo cans we took a other ride out to walk in Delaware Park. This time we located it in a snap in a place we think we may have checked out once or twice this morning. Amazing what a clear head and a little sunlight will do to help out your caching abilities. We did enjoy both walks and finally have come up close and personal with some of the sights we have been driving by for so long. Thanks for geting us to slow down for a while by placing the cache here.
