This cache is a 30 cal ammocan, with the usual trade items!

This cache will allow you to explore Buffalo creek a bit and to enjoy some nice sights along the way, as well as to get a little wet!

I really enjoyed Gof's I can't believe__ __ __ and No Man Is An Island... caches, and they are the inspiration for this little knock-off.

Creek walking caches always have some of the most memorable caching moments and some of the most fun. The hike for this one will total a little over a mile roundtrip.
At no time will you have to wander onto private property, which borders the creek on each side. GPS readings were erratic here, so I have an added a spoiler photo at the bottom of the description to aid in your search.

Be careful walking in the creek, and use common sense when attempting this one. Park at N 42 51.438 W 078 42.520 and follow the fishermans path. Please do not wander onto the posted property.

Enjoy the hike and the cache!

To finish off our caching day, Chicky and I decided to cool off by doing Huck’s famous creek walking cache. And since we were caching right in Huck’s backyard in only made sense to invite him along (okay okay, he invited himself…haha). The true logic in all this was that since it was a steaming hot pile of summer haze outside, hiking in a cool creek would be the most smartest way to conclude our day. So logically warm day + cool creek = livin’ la vida corduroy jumpsuit. What we didn’t expect was that the string of warm days prior had turned the creek into tepid bathwater.
This was somewhat unexpected, but regardless we dove in and began our hike. This is a beautiful section of creek, and I’m extremely jealous of all the locals who have the little stairways here and there that lead them down to the waterfront. That’s living right there folks.

The hike to the creek went slowly – partly because the heat was beating down on us – and partly because we had to establish our creek walking legs. But with patience and testicular fortitude we slowly covered the distance to the cache location. When we arrived Chicky and I split up to look for the cache whilst Huck sat creek-side bathing his tootsies in the water. After a few minutes of searching Chicky came up with the hide. She signed us in, Huck explored the goods, and we backtracked a little ways downstream to take refuge in the shade. Some of the shale formations along the creek are pretty neat, and definitely come in handy when I you want to sit and relax to get out of the sun.

We started our way back towards the cars and enjoyed the rest of our trip in this beautiful atmosphere. We have always loved creek walking caches, and this was certainly a dandy. Thanks Huck for joining us on our adventure, and for also accompanying us to Anderson’s where we dined on hotdogs and ice cream!

We went to do a Huckle cache and an event broke out!!!! WOW what can we say?... we met Mrs.FFof5's co-worker and her husband (Mufino)who are NOOB's at the parking coords and 4/5 of FFof5 and Mufino set out on a creek walk. This was Mrs. FFof5's first real cache...she enjoyed herself quite a bit (thanx Huck)we meandered along checking out the fish and other aquatiic life and watching the boys splash their way for 6/10 of a mile...what a blast...we reached GZ and the NOOB's HB'd the cache, so I went and retreived it...as the boys were looking for some trade items and I looking for some long overdue TB's in my bag, more people wandered into view...uh-ohh... but not to worry it was Sunrayers..nice to meet you....so everybody signed the log and i loaded up the cache with my TB's and stashed it back where it belongs...just as i finish placement...some others round the bend and it's HB and dlkempf and family..nice to meet you. So we hung around for a bit talking about some other local cachers(anybody's ears ringing at 4pm ish?)...Mufino took a group photo and off we headed...what a great day and a great cache...Thanx HB....
PS... if 2 cachers bump into one another is that considered a geocrash?...sorry I had to...Mufino and Mrs FFof 5 almost took a dip at the same time...was too funny!
