along the icv trail on the banks of indian creek theres a little known place called camp wildwood.some say it used to be a church camp but now it's a retreat for the rich and famous of sorts.the cache is 2 stages long the first being a crummy micro i enslaved to hold coords to the 2nd stage.it;s a long hike so i would reccommend the use of a bicycle.parking is available at the same place as final fantasy 1.so grab your bikes and gear and enjoy the adventure.be careful this section of the trail is undeveloped theres a few ruts and puddles...see ya soon

Real nice 2 stager! The undeveloped part of the trail is very serene, untill I heard an air horn from a train(haunted section of trail??) and then BOOM!!!!! they were blasting on the other side of the ridge! WHEW! That air horn freaked me out. Found the goods and took nothing but left a TB. TFTC antaries, good job on this one!

I did this hunt on a beautiful fall day that might have otherwise have been wasted on a lesser cache. It was the perfect occasion for a nice long hike on the ICV and I especially enjoyed the undeveloped section of the trail which follows along the creek through a secluded part of the valley where there are no roads and no inhabitation other than the camp. I rode my bike down this way about 10 years ago and I have to say that it hasn't changed much other than a little bit of logging activity and some "development" at the camp. I didn't see that there was a camp before and I didn't even know that there was one. I remember the little dam but I don't think there was much of anything on the other side back then. That sure is a prime spot to get away from it all! I had some trouble with the first stage because I didn't know that I was supposed to be looking for a micro in a typical micro hiding spot. It was an easy find once I got that figured out. When I programmed the final coordinates into my new GPS, I came to realize that I had quite the hike ahead of me to get this cache done. I had barely enough time to go find the cache and make the long hike back to the car so I got going in a hurry and didn't stop to investigate some cool stuff that I saw along the way. I guess I'll have to go back on my own time for that. I found the cache quickly which was a welcome relief because I didn't want to be walking back in the dark. Bigfoot might get me way back here in the middle of nowhere! If I made any trades, I don't remember what they were at this late date. I'm going to have to start making notes if I am going to continue this habit of not logging stuff in a timely manner. Thanks for hiding this and listing it here, Tim. This is a fine cache. I wish there were more like it. Johnny.
