This is an offroad-cache! You should really take a 4x4-vehicle! Even then it is only for experienced mountain-drivers because the road is not that easy! We also saw some hikers there...
The Cache lies in the Liguric alps on the border between France and Italy. It is hidden at a height of about 2180m. We started on the French side at the tunnel of Tende heading south and went right at the first possibility. There you come up to the Fort Central. Next to it are some ruins where you can park and put up a tent if you like. But you can also start on the italian side at Mendatica (here is an excellent Restaurant "Agritourismo" you should not miss!) or you start from La Brigue in France. The road to the Cache is unpaved and there are some rocks lying on the way so drive carefully!! Please get a good map before you start to drive there because even there a lot of cars driving around you don't know always which way to take. Good luck and a nice time!
