Interesting area, bushwacked more than Yukon Jacque and I had to, but didn't figure that out till we found the cache and were leaving the site. Yukon had a better way out. Things were in good shape. The last log entry in the book was on 11/19/2006. TNLNSL TFTC

Thanks for listing this where you don't have to pay to see it! I somehow missed seeing this on navicache before today or I would have logged it a long time ago. It was a memorable hunt when I did it for the website with so many forgettable ones. Henceforth I shall leave the obligatory cut/paste log borrowed from Froggy's website before it and I are appenged into oblivion a la Orwell's "1984":

I did this cache in shorts and sandals and came away without a scratch! There's a catch, though...

I was saving this cache for a nice day when I could get my kayak out of mothballs and take it for a spin. I arrived late in the afternoon at the beach in the Bush Recreation Area which is only about 6/10 of a mile from the cache as the great blue heron flies. This was not really an efficient way to get to the cache given that it takes me about 1/2 hour to assemble my kayak but it was a fun way. My watercraft is an unusual type of sea kayak known as a folding kayak or folbot. It comes out of a bag that easily fits inside the Mighty Colt and sets up like a tent. It seems that very few people have seen a boat like mine because I always attract a crowd of onlookers who ask me a zillion and one questions like "is that a boat?", "where did you get it?", "how much does it cost?". I should have hiked across the lake on the surface of the water like I usually do. It would have attracted less attention. I enjoyed a nice leisurely paddle across the lake to the coordinates. I saw a magnificent great blue heron and a really ugly turkey vulture hanging around on the shoreline of the lake. I landed the Mighty Folbot about 200 feet from the cache and attacked it from the rear. It didn't stand a chance from this blindside attack! I was traveling light with no trade stuff but I did leave my sticker in the book and I took away the TB for plunder. Arrrgh!

Thanks for the cache!

Johnny
