I ranked this a 3 for terrain due to the length.

Since this is my first cache, I stocked it full of items that fit the tone of the trail. There are items large and small both in size and value including an HP ink cartidge.

Maps are queued for generation.

This is a multipart cache with all waypoints except the final on a trail so there is no need for bushwacking until then. I tried to get off the trail to give some privacy while you sign the log but I'm not sure if I succeeded since the place is riddled with trails. Please be careful so as to not give the location away.

Count carefully and make sure you get them all.

Artifact 1:

This is the iron that turned the earth to let things grow.

This is the waypoint that was vandalised. It's still an interesting stop on the trail. It's located at 43 deg 12.001 and 077 44.031

The new coordinates point to the new starting point below.

Artifact 2:

Round and round to carry the load.
Count the spokes and multiply by 2.5. Subtract the result from the current latitude to get the next.
Subtract the spoke count from 35 and subtract the result from the current longitude to get the next.

Artifact 3:

Pumping water or grinding grain, it did the work of many men.
Count the spokes on the outer rim and add 85. Subtract the result from the current latitude to get the final.
Subtract 5 from the spoke count and add the result to the current longitude to get the final.

The cache is a .50 caliber ammo can painted black with the Navicache and Geocache logos.

Please sign the log book and trade fair.

This cache started off our day. Math is not my forte, so I left it to the rest of the crew. Although they seemed to have a little trouble figuring out the coords. Nice cache, lots of work went into creating it I can tell.

Out caching with the group. Jockwannabe made a rare appearance on the trip. Enjoyed the trails and great scenery in this park and, of course, the great company. Thanks for putting a cache here.

I was out with a bunch of cachers from the Buffalo area helping to teach a newbie. It took us quite awhile to figure out the next coordinates at part 2. We finally came to a consensus and headed off to the next. Made quick work of that one and found the final after a few minutes. Nice multi, TFTC.

3rd find of this Easter morn. I parked at the coordinates, and then followed a trail into the woods. I found artifact #3 before #2, but I realized it, so I went on to #2, which led me back to #3. Found the final with no trouble. Took magic cards, and left 2 game CDs, and a dora toy. Thanks

The Whitefeet from Ottawa, Canada were visiting for the weekend. They were using their new GPS for the first time. Initially we didn't find the right trail, but we got it sorted out. Traded a wire stripper for a CD. Thanks for the walk in the park.

Found it! Finally! This cache has been the bain of my caching existance for months now.. It was the closest cache to my house not found, (now replaced with henpecked which i think ill save for a while :P ) but the most challenging one I've had in quite a while. I had previously tried to complete this cache several times, without any luck. I finally emailed cenobite07 who helped me realize I had messed up the math (and reversed N/W somehow). So after finally realizing what I was doing wrong we completed it without a problem. I must say following the correct coordinates to the artifacts was alot easier then all the bush whacking we had been doing. The funny thing is even though we had the coords wrong, it still brought us to an artifact that was quite interesting, so at least we got to do a little sight seeing while being lost.
Does anyone know the history of this park? There sure is alot of big junk in the woods back there. Between our several visits we must have seen 3 old old cars or tractors, several plow type of things, and the remnants of an old building. Was this a farm then went bust? A junk yard.. If anyone knows drop me a note.

Thanks to cenobite07 for this cache, and all the time it must have taken to get it all together, I have enjoyed my several visits, even when we were wandering pointlessly around. I really enjoyed Artifact 3, that was really cool. Took the screen protector for sportrak and left silly putty and magic cards.

This was an interesting walk back through time. With a little imagination, you can envision working farms in the area a hundred years ago. I thought I was doing pretty well finding the clues but when I started wandering in circles looking for the final cache, I began to doubt whether I had subtracted or added. Went back to the second clue and double checked. As it turned out, I was right on top of the cache all the time. That'll teach me to go solo. If I had the kids with me, they would've found it with no trouble. Nice job on setting up the clues, and making it a bit interesting for everyone. TNLN.. Thanks for the hide..

Came over here from Henpecked and did not give up even when confounded by my old nemesis, Math. I think I walked around enough so that statistically I was likely to find the cache no matter what! Enjoyed the artifacts and the setting. Traded the Sinead CD for some screwdrivers and a Simba bobblehead and a PS2 demo CD.

It never fails to amaze me what people are capable of.

Sometime between 11/10 and 11/14, someone went out in the woods - with tools - and stole the wheels off the first stop on this cache!

I have reset the starting coords so they now direct you to artifact 2 to start the fun.

I did check to make sure the cache is still there. It's a lot harder to find in the dark and rain...

Thanks to lowerfalls for making me aware of the problem.

Good luck.

I just thought for sure I would be first, I was wrong.
When I approached the first artifact, Caron and Elorado came out of no where. Anyways, Caron loaned me a pen so I could figure the math out. The next thing I knew, they were gone. I never caught back up with them to return the pen! LOL
They were probably at home already having coffee as I spun around in the woods. LOL Lets just say be very careful doing the math and punching in the right coords. I made a simple mistake that took me in the wrong direction. I soon realized my mistake and found the cache.

I traded the Ink cartridge for three music cd's and left a george bill that we got from Hess.
