Very easy cache located at the "lower place", which was originally part of Sahrle Farms. You are looking for a Lock-N-Lock Rubbermaid style container. It is approximately the size of a 30 cal ammo box. Please take the time to enjoy this beautiful spot. I used to love to listen to the sound of this stream.
*************************************** Parking coordinates for the cache N 42 31.548 W 077 39.805 Please DO NOT block the entrance to the farm road. Please follow the farm road towards the cache location via foot. **************************************** Follow the “path” through the old pasture. The cache is located near a stream bed. Note: Please be careful of the barbed wire fence. There is not currently “juice” running through the old electric fence. You do not have to worry about receiving a shock. Update on 5/2/07: The property has been sold. The new landowners, Frank and Ellen Gendreau, have graciously agreed to allow the caches to stay in place. They have been longtime neighbors and my grandfather thought very highly of them. I cannot thank them enough for their generosity. Note: The Gendreaus have placed posted signs around the property in order to discourage trespassers. These signs DO NOT apply to geocachers. If anyone asks, you have permission to use this land for geocaching purposes from Frank and Ellen Gendreau. FTF= TazD Please note: This cache was previously posted on geocaching.com. Open Log: Personal use only I had a good time finding this cache today with Killerb and Bo. It was a little muddy walking along the farm path because of recent logging activity, so we decided to walk across the field on the way back. This was a very tranquil place back by the creek. We all looked around for a while before I finally spotted this one, Good Hide! There is a lot of logging going on which makes this a little more challenging for getting around in that area. The cache was full of TBs and geocoins so I decided to grab a couple to move along. I left nothing because the cache was quite full. Thanks for showing us such a nice place on the farm. And many "Thanks" to Fred Sahrle for allowing caches to be placed on his land. Happy holidays to you and your family. -Paleoman52-
