This cache is the first in a series of caches we have placed along the lower portion of Indian Creek. This portion of Indian Creek spans from the spill way of the Mill Run reservoir to the Youghiogheny River, and has some of the most beautiful scenery to be found in the Laurel Highlands. Our family has spent countless hours along this part of Indian Creek, and we believe this area was made for caching. There are several ways to get to this valley, but we ask that you please use only the lower Indian Creek Valley trail to access this cache. Coming in any other way may cause problems that we would like to avoid. To get to the parking area, turn off of route 381 near Mill Run onto Camp Christian Road and go about .6 miles. Then, make a right turn into a small gravel parking area. Please do not block the gate at the bridge. From the parking area, follow the trail (biking may be the preferred method). There will be a fork in the trail a little way past the gated bridge, take the left road for the trail to get to the cache area. There are 4 more caches in this series as well as Quest Master’s Hampton cache. So, after your find, continue on down through this magnificent valley and enjoy your day!

Open Log: Personal use only We had a beautiful day to cache today. This was our favorite of the Indian Creek series (we did #1, #2, and #3). It is by far the best container we've seen caching. We couldn't imagine how it had gotten back there until we ran into 4MRnutz later on the trail and he gave us the history. Such a fun cache!! I think in the log book I put that we left a TB at this cache...well, when I got home it turns out that I must have forgotten to put it in the cache after I wrote it in the logbook because we still had it. Anyway, we took the MoneyBunny TB and left a new pen to sign the logbook with. We'll be moving the MoneyBunny TB along next weekend....very far along!! TFTC!!!

Nice little hike on a warm afternoon, I can't wait for them to finish this trail. There is some real nice scenery along this section. Nice hide! You guys always have something crazy in your bag of tricks. Wish I would've had more time to get the rest in this area, but I'll be back!! TFTC

Second find of a great day. WE initially walked past it, but came back and had to chuckle over the cleverness of it all.

Open Log: Personal use only Second of several 4MRnutz caches found today as Nellsnake #1, 2, and 4 decided to take a ride along the ICV trail. It was a beautiful day for a ride and for caching. We enjoyed all of the craftsmanship on the containers, but this one was by far our favorite--very cool. We found it fairly quickly, but accessing the cache took a little work. We took and left nothing and left our sticker in the logbook at about 11:45 a.m. Thanks for a cool cache along a great trail! | |

I returned to the scene of this crime with Eric and Erin just one day after my initial find. We were on the bikes this time. They figured this out as quickly as I did and were likewise amused. I'm pretty sure they made trades but I don't remember what there were. Thanks again. Onward and downward...

Open Log: Personal use only I met LJ at the parking spot for a little caching business which included the exchange of a RJTB which has since been marooned in a cache that will never be listed on the other website. She was nursing a bad wheel (knee) so we had to settle for trying some of the easier ones today. We figured that we could get this first one in the series and look forward to doing the rest on another day. It was a very pleasant walk to the coordinates even though we had to dodge a few quads illegally riding on the trail. Our GPS units got fouled by the dreaded "cut" but we recognized the hiding spot as soon as we saw it in spite of readings that were telling us that the cache was further on. This is one heck of an impressive hide! I do believe that this is the most massive cache that I have ever seen. It reminded me of something I saw on "Hogan's Heroes". If you want to know what that's about, you'll have to see this one for yourself. I don't remember if I made any trades but I do remember that I snapped up the RJTB that LJ left before it hit the bottom of the drawer. Thanks for something completely different! Johnny.
