Most people will want to park in the Peñasquitos Canyon parking lot (N32°54.404' W117°12.390'). If you want a tougher hike though, you can come from the Lopez Ridge park to the east. The trail is just under 3 miles round trip. The trail crosses some creek beds that could be impassable after heavy rains.

The container is kind of small so if you plan to trade, items that are about 1 cubic inch or smaller would be best. The original contents are a pen, a log book, stash note, and 6 small die cast cars.

This is a popular trail for lunchtime walkers and joggers. It is a little less crowded than Peñasquitos Canyon.

The Lopez Canyon Coffee Can cache in nearly the same spot is what first brought me through here. That cache appears to have washed away in a rainstorm back in 2005, so I thought it would be cool to place a new cache here. It's not in the exact same spot, so hopefully this cache will stay dry even after a heavy rainstorm.

I came in from Sunny Mesa and there is a nice trail all the way to the cache.
