Located in Silver Lake State Park on the southwest end of Silver Lake, This park is a public boat launch and popular fishing spot ideal for the kids. There are a few picnic tables and an opportunity for pictures but again the primary function of this park is the boat launch.

Verda is mom to both Road Kill and Gamma Kitt and this location was chosen through Verdaís persistence that this park would be a good place for a cache. So using her idea for the location and a Chicago idea for the hide, Road Kill set out his momís first hide. To those who seek this cache Verda Says "Hi".

The terrain is fairly easy if you find the right trail. Believe me there are many and all are scant deer trails. When you find this cache you will realize the importance of leaving the log pile just as you found it. The ultimate distraction within it is the key that makes this find most enjoyable. This is another Road Kill special surprise that is designed to leave you grinning. (Nothing like the Gibsonville Doublet).

The cache is a 50 cal ammo box with a logbook and goodies to exchange The goodies are great but the adventure of the hunt and the hide itself are the real treasures.

PS: The cache is well guarded by swamp and skeeters. The clues could help you out here.

Thanx Roadkill! Very cool location.
I got to take my Mom (Oakland Lighthouse) caching, and let her find the cache. She loved it, as it was the first of the type for her.
We figured we had better do this one early in the year, thanx to your warning of swamp & skeeters... :)

This was a fun one - went with a group (Chicken Lips, Balloon Pilot, Nonnie Bee, Highjack and Road Kill)- warm day but lots of snow still on the ground. Searched high and low - finally found it (grin). Great idea! Took nothing and didn't put anything in.

Found it at 11 AM. Didn't take long once we realized we were right on it. Found a similar one recently somewhere else and used the same thought process. Nice hiding spot. Took nothing, left nothing.

5th of 5 finds today - and the most enjoyable. Had the same idea in mind for a hide, but now I will have to put a reverse spin on it - you know what I mean. Came in from just the right direction and spotted the log pile and cache right away. Relocated everything just as instructed. Signed the log book, took lots of pictures, left head net and took Cajun Hot Sauce to be used in my jerky marinade. Thanks for a most rewarding end to a fine day.

Very interesting cache! Second of four today. MrMom actually found this one quickly at 4:50pm. Goo wasn't quite sure what to think of it. Took deck of cards and noise maker (to spare future parents finding this cache!!) left lion king lion & light recepticle. Good job Road Kill!!

6th find for today and it is getting late. This was a nice hide and a little
different way of adding a challenge to the cache. I do a lot of icefishing
on this lake in the winter so I`ll have to bring my little friend Bryan to
visit this cache. Thanks for the hide.

5 for 5! We did it! Sweetie gal was bushed at this point but we all were motivated and couldn't wait to see what road kill had in store for us! Took several pictures with crew at Silver Lake. Then headed in. Read that there was only one truely correct deer path in....We didn't find it but instead followed fearless inward. What a great hide.........Amazed at your choice of wood piles and contents.......Can't wait to use what you've taught us about hiding caches for our own...Have 2 planned.......Fearless spotted this one.........Traded a beach ball, dominoes and koosh for twice sealed candy corn, mouse guy with clothing and 3 part b.ball players. What an awesome day! Will formally say Hi Verda when I upload pictures......But for now will just say good night and Thanks again for making a great day even better!! Hilton Fam.

We are still shaking our heads. This was our third Roadkill related cache of the day and we
already had expected the unexpected! We enjoyed this one as much as the previous two.
What a way to end the day. We took the Wheres George dollar and left a pack of 3X5 index
cards. This one is highly recommended.
