Open Log: Personal use only Having been along this section of the Rachel Carson Trail a few years back, it was good to get back to the trail again. Classic cache hide. Nice area. Just wished the brook had a bit more water in it. TFTC

Nice hike. Came from County Corner. Played in the rocks for a while. Fell down twice and have bruises to prove it. Almost gave up. Great hiding spot. Took TB Mr. Mouse...to find his new house. Left silly putty. Sending other Steel City Babes soon to find cache. SCB#8 and SCB#19.

I had not planned to do this cache today but we were in the neighborhood after doing two caches on the Butler-Freeport trail and it seemed like a waste not to take a shot at it. I already knew the way to Harrison Hills which was half the battle. This is a great park that the city people should get out to see more often. We got pretty close to the cache with the car and even closer by following the yellow blazes of the Rachel Carson trail. My dad bailed when I decided to leave the trail and I went alone down to the coordinates. I didn't like that I had chosen to wear hike boots for the biking part of today's geocaching exercises but I was really glad to be wearing them now! It was more than a few hops, skips, and jumps before I got to where I needed to go but I made it without incident. I had read the hint in advance because I didn't want to leave dad waiting for too long and found the cache very well hidden in the second place I checked. I signed the log quickly and returned to where my father was waiting. He noted that I was out of shape and out of breath and lucky to make it back in one piece. I wanted to tell him that it wasn't luck but I was still gasping for air. I needed that! Thanks for the cache! Johnny.
