The cache is located not too far from a hiking trail in a nice wooded area of Heritage Park in Monroeville.

Park at N 40° 24.953, W 79° 44.365. I would suggest starting at trailhead located at N 40° 24.941, W 79° 44.273. Cache is a smaller camouflaged ammo can located within a couple hundred feet of one of the trails.

Took a friend from work in for his first find. As we got close neither of us was real thrilled to go where we had to go, but we found it! His first words were something like "Wow look at all that stuff!"

Saw what looked like cacher spoor nearby, footprints and a scrape.

Took USAF anniversary pin. Forgot to bring my SWAG to work so I left my Tstat/Jewelers screwdriver. Also decided to drop the Great Dane travel bug I picked up two days ago at Overlook Rock.

Well, after attempting a few caches in White Oak park (really wanted to start Oliver's CAche Adventure) and basically aborting all cache attempts out there due to muggles. It was nice to finally happen upon a cache with a hike and very little chance of muggles. This is the first Nellsnake cache I have done that took you a distance from the path. GPS was jumpy and circled a bit but no problem. Not too bad of a hike, just what the Cache doctor ordered on this fine day. Took Nemo toy going to make it into a TB, Releasing TB Caught the Caching Bug Left purple carabiner, Dora mini cards, and Disney Pen. Cache is in good shape.
As I was leaving I just went straight back up the hill and ducked under the trees. Looked down and noticed a Tick crawling on my GPS. UGH looked all over myself to check..ALL CLEAR...lucky for me he didn't make it to my hand!!

With 4-6 inches of snow on the ground, this one was a pain in the butt to find. I couldn't find the right trail to take so I just bush-wacked my way in. Must have spend close to a hour to find it! I kept circling the "pit" trying to find the cache. Every time I'd get within 80 feet of the cache, my GPS would lose reception. Glad I'd brought a compass along to help get a bearing on the cache from a 100 feet out. On my last attempt to find the cache, I spotted a likely stump, but it wasn't it. However, there was a nearby "feature" which I kicked the bark off of and there it was!! Half-tempted to take the "Hunt for Red October" video tape for all my efforts, but I didn't. Instead, I left 2 travel bugs. I meant to drop one of them at another nearby geocache in another Monroeville Park, but I was out of time. Great Cache! Nice Park with playground equipment for young kids.

Visited this cache after a FTF on the new Alpine High cache...

We took a turn off the trail before we really needed to, and wasted about twenty extra minutes walking through a really marshy area and then climbing up a very steep hill. We eventually refound the trail and then looked for what looked like a safe place to go back down the hill... I scouted ahead while my dad and the dog stayed up top, after walking around trying to get to the coordinates, I finally got to them and the cache was in the first place I looked. Really a good hike..

I really wanted to make this cache my first cache without really knowing what the hints were, just to see if my intuition would kick in, I really wish I had read the log however.

Thanks for listing this on Navicache. I'm having fun reliving my geocaching adventures from the old days when geocaching was a lot more fun.

This was the last of 8 caches I did on this day. I just had to try to squeeze in one more cache on the way home before it got dark. Bad idea. I lost precious daylight blindly following the GPS down residential streets in Monroeville because I didn't have a map. It was well after sunset when I made it to the park. I thought about packing it in but by now I was too close not to give it a go. I grabbed my stuff and followed the pavement to a trail. I went into the woods and paused at the junction of two trails. It was dark enough now that I had to use the backlight in my GPS to see where I was supposed to go. I heard voices. Somebody was coming up the trail. I decided to get going so that I would not have to explain what I was doing in this park after dark. I chose the wrong trail. I didn't go back because I didn't want to lose whatever little light was left. I bushwhacked straight down a big hill and up the other side. It didn't seem so bad because I couldn't see where I was going. I made it to the coordinates but by then it was too dark to hunt for a cache. I got my flashlight out of my pack and began to look around. I figured to give this night caching thing a try for five or ten minutes before making the run for the car to get out of there before they closed the gates on me. I amazed myself when I actually managed to find the thing! The logbook revealed that Team Willow was just there. I knew one of those voices sounded familiar! I thought it was just my imagination! The cache is really loaded with some good stuff. I didn't trade because I was in a hurry. I almost took some items because I had trouble getting everything to fit back in so that the lid would go back on properly. It was really dark by the time I solved this puzzle. I was really glad I had the parking coordinates programmed. The GPS was the only thing that got me out of those woods. I couldn't see **** with the flashlight. Thanks for the fun! Johnny.
