This is a beautiful living breathing Cedar tree that has had most of its lower trunk burnt out of it from the ground to over 12 feet high.

Be gentle with the tough survivor. He or she deserves it. ABSOLUTLY NO DIGGING!

This is located along the beautiful and peaceful Zberg Nature trail in SugarPine Point Park along the scenic edge of Lake Tahoe.

NOTE: This cache has been moved away from the tree to discourage geocachers from digging around it. The tree is at coordinates: N39 03.510 W120 06.855, but the cache is about 10 feet away at the coordinates listed at the top of this page. Cache is on the opposite side of the footpath from the tree under loose bark between three logs which are in an almost triangle formation.

Greetings from 47Russ47!

DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED in this part of SugarPine Point Park. (They are allowed in many other parts of the park.)

Nearby, see if you can find a tree that resembles Big Foot's left foot. He had two of them. (Left ones that is!) Click on photo to see the foot.

A short distance south and you can see an inviting beach. The kind you dream about when you think of vacationing.

From that beach, again southward you can see the dock of Pine Lodge. A fun place to take your family to swim and picnic. This is also a part of SugarPine Point Park and has recently been improved.
