Northampton Park, located on the western side of monroe county.

Northampton Park is a beautiful location filled with much to do for the family. In the winter there is plenty of cross country skiers running the trails, as well as sledding on some of the local hills. Summer time offers hikers a nice walk along some great trails with very nice views. Bring the kids and let them play on the park playground near the entrance.

OK...now for the cache. The container is a retired .50cal ammo can painted black. Tons of very nice things inside as well as a log book I am asking you to fill out. This cache is certainly worth the drive as well as the nice walk. Very easy terain but bring some boots due to puddles in certain areas. Here is the link for the park itself to learn more as to what it has to offer http://www.co.monroe.ny.us/parks/northampton.stm Park is very clean but if you wish to bring a garbage bag with you, it would be nice to bring out any trash you see along the way. Pictures included with this will give you some clue's, so look only if you feel you need too!

I was out there Sunday for another cache and I'm pretty sure this is gone.

I took the long way in the first time and then went in from the other side and still didn't see it.

I'm pretty sure I was at the right tree but it's been a while since I found it the first time.

No, I am sorry but I have yet to get out that way to check on its status. I am hoping to get out there this weekend though to either update it or renew it.

Do not look for this cache until I report back. Thank you!

We must have walked around this area 20 minutes before giving up. Would like a confirmation that it's still there before heading out there some other time. Found a probable location, but no cache. When I got home, I looked at the hint picture, and I remember that area from looking around there. I just don't think it's there. Prove me wrong, please...

I was camping with the Cub Scouts near the Model Plane Air Park and thought I would try to find this one. I took the wrong path on the way in, not a big deal just made the trip a bit longer. I took another leader and a Cub Scout with me. Let the Cub to the navigation. He seemed to really like it. As we came close to the cache we scared up a Fawn about 10 feet from us. I'm not sure who was more scared the fawn or us. The cache is in great shape we took a picture of the group, signed the log and headed back. Thanks for the nice walk.

Well, one down and many more to go. Our first attempt using the new GPS unit was a grand success today! The black box was just where it was suppossed to be - in the nook of the tree. Very cool! We signed in on this windy and overcast Good Friday afternoon. As this was our first hunt, we were amazed at the variety of items to "put and take". Now we have some ideas of what to bring to leave on our future trips.

See you out there...

Happy Halloween!

Another nice location in a pretty park.

The cache is in great shape and chock full of fun stuff. I added a few more things to this packed box.

There is a ton of deer sign in the area and I spooked a couple that went crashing through the woods ahead of me.

I took a picture with the camera-it was number 22 or 23.

Last one for today. Headed back from Holley and into my neck of the woods for this cache in a lovely local park. Took the wrong trail in but deer trails got me where I needed to go without undue bushwhacking. It's pretty back here! Cache was in great shape, just where it was supposed to be, and guarded by a snail with a colorful shell. Even better, this one was easy enough to find that I could make it back to Greece before the malls closed! A lovely autumn day tromping through the woods, never breaking a sweat, and a trip to the bookstore at the end. Bliss!

I just had to take the boys out on a navicache adventure
today, they are both filled with a lot of energy now that school's out. Thats all they talk about is NAVICACHE!!!!!
So, being Friday and knowing I didn't have to work tomorrow, it wasn't to hard to convince me to go.

Some how my son Kyle wound up with the GPS, and led Casey and I right to the cache. Casey had a great time on this adventure, but was a little sad that his brother found the treasure first. Signed the log and had another great time.

Thanks!

This was our last of three caches for the day... Boy, were we tired! Taking 4 kids geocaching for the day is hard work!
Just finished up at the GEODECACHE cache & decided to hit this cache since it was so close... Actually expected to see others at this cache too, as we ran into 2 other families while at the GEODECACHE cache.
It was nice & very quiet (not to mention much drier and much less mud!) and a good end to our day of caching...
I took a picture of the kids & my wife, but I don't know if the picture took or not as I think that we may or may not have taken the last picture. The disposable camera was on its last exposure when I snapped the picture (it is definitely used up by now & needs to be retrieved).
Once taking the family photo, we did the usual cache swap & were on our way back home for some needed rest & hot baths!
Thanks for the adventure!

Hi! It was a bit dreary and damp but we decided to go geocaching anyway. We made it to the park in no time and started to scope out the best trail. Everything was melting so the ground was quite saturated but not nearly as much as what we encountered last Saturday. The difference was that today we brought Foo the wonder dog. She boldly trudged on but with only 4 of clearance she quickly looked like 1/2 a drowned rat......Anyway we made it to the cache in no time and very much enjoyed the placement...Butterfly girl couldn't reach but eversure could and did. The cache was in fine shape but a bit low on goodies. So we bulked it up!! Took a roll of film and a sequin tube. Left a new yoyo, sequin craft set and the blue monster dude from Monsters inc NIB. As we were leaving this one I thought to myself..hey why did we ever wear waterproof boots...I figured the next on our list Geodcache would be comparable :) Thanks for the hunt!

Lots of nice stuff there, didn't take anything. Would have taken the "Traveler" but not headed that way for a while so will leave it for someone else.... Cache in good shape, placed a few more things around it to give it some more cover.

On my way to cache a thunder storm started with lightning and pouring rain. I hurried the cache site, and had a heck of a time locating it. I got soaked trying, but finally found it. I signed log briefly as it was raining, and the book was getting a little damp. I left a traveller named Bernie who is heading west towards Renton, WA.

Our first find! Nice park and a great cache location. It was a little warm and buggy, but we had a good time. Many berry bushes (currants, I beleive). We got a few scratches on our legs and a bit of burddock on our socks, but it wouldn't be a challenge if there wasn't something to show for it. My 6 year old was the first to spot the box in the tree. My wife (with 8 month old in backpack) waited at edge of trail. Contents of cache were a little lean. My son wouldn't part with the toy (a splash ball) we brought to exchange. He wanted to return home, get a something else, and then return to the cache. I avoided an argument, made no promises, and took nothing. We did take a picture (#16 or 17) and sign the log book.

To George of Navicache
Road Kill was there. I got your E-mail and it was probably me that had unsuccessfully logged on before. My main problem was with setting up an account and logging in. I don't know what I was doing wrong but I think I'm in now.
To others who may read this:
I've already told the owner what a pleasent place this was. For me it was my first find and I'd rate it easy to find (1)and easy terrain (1). I suggest taking a youngster in the early morning or evening to see the deer there.
