This cache is dedicated to Shilfiell, whose long-standing affinity for bovinity in any form has been an inspiration to us all.


Located a few steps off the beaten path at Cook College of Rutgers University, this cache will give you a chance to see some of the Garden State's finest Holsteins in a bucolic and unthreatened setting.


The cache is a standard tupperware-clone and the contents will explain the cache name. Park in the first area you find and walk back towards the cowpen.

Did not see any animals or an electric fence. Went quickly for the cache because there was a campus security vehicle driving around the area. Used the updated coordinates. Took a TB, SL. Thanks.

I'm backlogging my NC finds - at least the ones that double as GCs. Found with MBlatch. Bouncy signals (be they the hider or the seeker) can turn a 1.5 cache into a real beast to find! With Rutgers closed up for the summer parking wasn't a problem. Didn't see any beasties, but did find a cache. Swapped some swag and signed the log. TFTC!

I was in the area to help my friend moving to Highland Park - arrived a little bit earlier to New Brunsiwck and walked to the campus. A lot of horses, the Holsteins were still inside when I walked to the cache. I approached the hiding spot from the right so it was an instant find. Exchanged WG$s, left a TB (gc.com). Thanks!

I was at a meeting two doors down and thought I should log a few.

I changed from my business attire to geocaching-wear in the parking lot of the museum. The horses were nearby . . . the cows were bunched together at a distance keeping warm on this cold day.

I walked down to the area. Is that a frat house next door? I walked in circles for a few minutes until I realized where this one was. My gps finally settled at 50-some feet away. There are high tension wires in the area that may affect readings.

I logged my find.

Hurrah! I'm the first to log this one on Navicache! I went there for the cows, and they were out in the field looking great. Nice little area not too far from a favorite video store of mine. Found the cache quite easily in a well-concealed spot and made my trades, dropping off a travelling friend who'll enjoy the company she'll keep there. Thanks for the hide!

Parked about 800 ft away near the Museum of Agriculture. Not sure if it was legal to park there but nothing bad happened. The parking lot across the road from there was reserved for faculty and staff. Took a walk along the road, made a 90 degree turn and walked right to the cache. The GPS screen still had not updated from when I was by the road! Must have been following ekitt10's vapor trail. :)Thanks.
