Where did Robinhood and his group of Merry Men live? Sherwood Forest of course. While this hunt won't take you to the forest, you can come close by walking through a beautiful wooded area known as Sherwood Park in Nottingham Township. A newly paved path will take you around the park as you search for the cache. Sherwood Park has a baseball field, picnic shelter, new playground, basketball courts and of course a nice paved walking/bike trail. Park is open from dusk to dawn.
This is a 2 stage mini-puzzle cache. Now don't panic, this isn't a difficult puzzle and you should have no problems. You will find ample parking close to the stage 1 coordinates (top of page). You are looking for a small plastic container the size of your hand. Take a slip of paper from the stage 1 container, read instructions on how to figure out coordinates for the final cache location. Final cache is an ammo can with the usual nice selection of swag. |

I was looking forward to trying this cache because it's my closest unfound navicache. I didn't know it was disabled but now I know why the waypoint didn't load into my GPS. Ah! Revelation! Nevertheless, I found it in spite of its disablement. I also found it in spite of being brain dead. This puzzle is so "duh" that I was probably doomed to outsmart myself. I found the first stage easily and retrieved one of the soggy slips of paper from it. So this is what it's like to hunt micros, eh? What fun! They are, indeed, soaked through but still pefectly legible. I'll just consider myself lucky that I didn't have to write on them! So I go for a walk on the trail and I find stuff but I still don't know if I found the stuff that I was supposed to find. I got an answer that turned out to be way wrong so I guessed again and tried something more obvious. That can't be right, can it? It was. It took me three times longer than it should have but I got it done. Thanks for the hunt, Cubby! Johnny.
