QuestMaster always has the great caches- this is no exception. What a cool spot. Sure, it's takes some effort, but it's totally worth it. Bring some water with you as you'll probably need to replace some sweat.

Me, Blazin'R, and Charley the dog came out here today - we've been wanting to do this cache for awhile. We came with the Yoderlayhewhos (my brother, sister-in-law and little nephew). They don't have a navicache account so I'm including 'em here in my log. Anyway, we all really enjoyed this one! We love old ruins and scenic views, so a cache featuring both is a winner. What a unique spot for a resort. I'd like to see an old postcard or something from its heyday. Charley got bogged down in the muck at the bottom of the pool but he got out okay. Take an exuberant lab pup covered with stinky goo, and add a 14 month old baby toddling around, and you've got some serious fun! We explored awhile and then went on down to the views and the cache. Very nice views of the gorge. We hung around there for a bit hoping to see a train down there at the bottom, but none appeared. So, finally we toiled back on up. I'm recovering from a chest cold and the hilly terrain nearly whupped me, but I endeavored to persevere. The others didn't fare much better, taking turns carrying the baby. But we all made it and were glad we came. And actually, now that I'm back home I feel much better. I guess that's just what I needed. It's definitely just what Charley needed- he's been flat out on his side ever since we got back. Anyway, at the cache, I took nothing & left a portable dog bowl. Thanks for another great cache and fun time!

Open Log: Personal use only Found with lux, Steel City Babe #8 and D@nim@l today. Definitely some bushwhacking involved with this one! Liked the rocks near the cache, can't imagine how the big one doesn't crush the small one sandwiched in the middle! Thanks for the cache.

Open Log: Personal use only Classic Quest Master cache! In other words, it's where geocaching is more about the journey than the numbers! Enjoyed the hike with my daughter. Didn't stop at the resort much, but we went down to the lookout. Left Geocoin. TFTC!

Open Log: Personal use only The whole Nellsnake team headed out to the east today to do some caching. With the help of a detailed road map, we were able to navigate to the trail head in our Outback without too much trouble. We made our way up the hill to the 'resort', and Alex decided to test the waters of the inviting pool as Nellsnake Dad looked on in disbelief (see photos). After a brief stay at the resort to relax and recharge our spirits, we then bushwhacked over to the cache, which we found without any trouble. We took a CITO kit and Canadian nickel, and left an ant-shaped paper hole puncher. We then made our way down the steep slope to the Oaks Point overlook, taking great care, as one slip or false step could spell disaster and the ultimate sacrifice. We could hear but just missed seeing a train rolling through the valley below. Even though it was only mid-afternoon, we noticed it was getting darker and darker as time wore on, and on the way back, the skies opened up, which led to an all-out sprint to the car. We made it back muddy and a bit soaked, but had a great time. What would a Quest Master cache be without a water hazard anyway? Thanks for the fun, QM!

Another stunning view. This Quest must be a Master of the craft for unique and special placements. We were able to locate the cache even though it had been rifled by a critter of some sort (hollow trees are where you find BEAR food). Signed the log and exchanged trinkets. The large rocks at same level is Table Rock Then down the hill to see the sights.
