Whatever this was before it cooled into this final form, it was VERY hot.
Kolly Wobbels picked this place as we were driving down Iron Mountain Road. Getting and replacing the cache requires standing in an awkward position. Cache is a tupperware container covered with a black plastic bag. Parking is extremely easy. Be careful you don't park on top of the Benchmark. BENCHMARK: You can't miss the benchmark at N38 39.632 W120 15.369. Looks like someone has been trying to break it loose from its foundation. It's hard to read because it is well scratched. I can't find it on the benchmark listings so we have to figure out how to get it added or find what misplaced coordinates were given to it.(Not uncommon) |
