This cache was started as a themed cache containing info and items related to the Nevada Test Site which is visible from the cache site. We understand that most people don't have access to these types of items to trade, so we do not expect everyone to leave themed items.

To reach the cache site from Las Vegas take U.S. 95 north towards Reno. 2.7 miles after the Nye County border, there is a gravel road to the south (N. 36º35.586 W. 115º56.434). This road turns into a trail that will take you to the cache site. The trail does not require four wheel drive, but high ground clearance is recommended. This trail has many forks, but at any fork take the right path. After 5.3 miles you will reach an old barb-wire fence. Follow the fence trail to the right for a short distance. The cache is a short hike up a hill from this trail.
This site is in a desert area many miles from the nearest town, so make sure to bring water, hats, sunscreen, a full tank of gas, etc. AT&T cellular service works in this area, but can be spotty.

Couldn't find the cache. There are a ton of nooks and crannies where it could have been hidden, though. I spent about an hour searching for it without luck.

You definately will need at least a high-clearance vehicle to get to the cache area, but there is a lot of exploring in the area to do, and most of it is impossible without a 4x4.
