Located within a very nice and safe biking and hiking area at the edge of brighton, Ny.

I am sure you will enjoy this adventure should you decide to give it a go.

There are so many things to do within the area that I placed the cache that I don't know where to begin.

If you and members of your family have bikes you might want to bring them along for this one. A paved bike trail that runs many miles in two directions will keep you company while on the cache hunt. After or before, you can use it to take you to local parks and ice cream stands that are located right on the trail itself, but to get to the good ones you will have to do some heavy riding. This would be an excellent hunt for a couple or single person looking to sneak away for a few hours. A shame it would be to leave the camera home for this one.

I spent hours looking for what I thought was a great spot to house my new cache, and I believe I found it here. Bring the fishing poles as well because the canal races along the same path.

ok...now for the cache!

This is a .50cal retired and well painted ammo can filled to the top with many very nice Items to trade with. I ask that you please return an Item of same value if you decide to take one out, thus others will be able to enjoy the adventure. This is also a "Camera Cache" and if you would like to take a picture of yourself or group to share at a later date with the public via website, then please by all means take one!

Another Item you might take a liking to is the very famed and well known "M & M Dude" Hitchhiker guy. After being spiffed up and repackaged with his own traveling Logbook, he has found this as his new and most likely temporary home. If you take him please only do so if you intend on placing him in a cache of your own or another you intend to visit. And please fill out his logbook that goes with him so others can see who had him.

To all the others that watched over him earlier I Thank You much!

I have included pictures on this cache page to give you some help if you need it, they will be marked as give-aways in case you only want to look at the safe ones.

I have also encrypted clues and the parking area coordinates to get to this cache ( look only if you need help)

This is placed on public land and is open year round.

Well I hope you have fun, and always remember to be safe!

Well, that shows you what I get for looking at the gc.com listings before the nc.com listings for Quinn's caches! I neglected to check it on nc.com, but was in the area and I knew this was here from an archived listing on gc.com.

It's not there, as was stated a year ago. Oh well.

Nice little stroll along the canal...
However, the cache is gone. I don't see how anyone could have stumbled across this one. It was in a VERY out-of-the-way spot. The spoiler photo verified it's supposed location.

First tried finding the cache a few nights ago with no luck. Went during the daytime today instead; was pretty easy then. Great fun.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise. I great location, a cache full of interesting things, and in a spot I have never been to before. There was a big ice storm the day before, but everything was in order here. I took the pencil sharpener (I really needed it, great!), and left Jefferson Memorial enamel pin. Thanks for a great cache. jackbear

First find of the new year!

This was the first of the three I found without moving the truck. I had to take advantage of the 40 degree weather and skip out work to go caching.

Took tees, left hand warmers and tape.

After doing the Global Geocache we decided to go for this
one, being so close. Candie and I had a nice walk, down the paved path. She waited with Chi, as I went to find the cache. The GPS was bouncing around a little, so I decided to use the clue. The cache was in great shape, and had plenty of trinkets. I didn't see a path, so I kinda created my own.....One step in front of another. LOL
Signed the log, and put cache back as placed.

Great location. The path to the cache is quite noticable with no leaves on the brush. Knew we were in the area and then saw the snake. Took a peek and added an entry to the log. We exchanged nothing. Nice items in the can.

Went out with the lunch time crew again. It was a bit chilly, but we have to take advantage of any good weather we get for a hunt and a bit of exercise. The guys had scouted the location and knew where to park (one has to plan ahead with only an hour off for lunch). A pleasant walk along the canal and off into the bush. Fairly easy find. We all signed the log book. Road Kill took some digital pics with his new toy; I assume that you retrieved the single use camera. I took nothing and left nothing, just enjoyed the walk.

Road Kill finds it first without his GPS. Out again on a lunch break I loaned the GPS to a 4th Geophite. So I'm the last to leave the path when the E-Trex goes oneway and a Garmin III plus and my Garmin II plus goes another. Road Kill chose the route between and hollered "Huckle-Buckle-Beanstalk" just before the III plus was about to burn the group. Bottom line Banjo, Bobcat, Woodhauler & Road Kill had a great time and didn't have to dodge 390 traffic to get there. I think we all swapped out but I took some wheresgeorge's and left two indian women. The cache is dry and in good shape . Thanks Quinn

What a trip! Should've paid attention to the parking waypoint in the hint like I was going to... Thought we could reach the cache from MCC, but didn't pay attention to the map on the cache's web site (which showed the cache on the other side of 390)...

Finally got into the car & drove to the right place. Once there we found it in 20 min.!
The guard snake was great, especially since the kids had already found 2 live snakes earlier in the day!

The kids had a blast looking for the cache. Took a picture of the kids with the camera... My son had to wrap the snake around his neck for the picture!

We took the pack of Pokemon cards, the plastic toy turtle, the Wild Thornburys toy, the B52 popsicle stick model (kudos to the person who made this - nice!), and the Pikachu coin purse.

We left a CD full of MP3s, a U.S. Navy mouse pad, a set of batteries (for those needing batteries for their GPS unit), a rubber ball, and a couple small playtoys.

The cache was easy to find, although you can start to see a path forming on the way to the cache (in the woods), which might give it away in the future is someone decides to stray & investigate! Thanks for the adventure!

I went and found it on my lunch hour without too much trouble. Unless it is wet out, this one is fine for that kind of thing. My GPS was just starting to lead me around in circles in the area, when I spotted the guard snake. I carefully pulled out the cache box so as not to anger him. I signed the log book, and snapped a photo of me. (I am the tall, dark, and handsome one).

Hey! What a great time this was! It took us about 10 minutes to find the cache once we got to the parking lot. The lot was a suprise and made our fearless leader second guess himself. There were only a few bugs today and alot less glass. They were dredging when we got there and took a few minutes to exp it to the kids.......

Took a fruit rollup (our daughter with braces was elated as this isn't allowed), the pocket knife for the 10 year old who was thrilled with the mini scissors and a pkg of snap lock rings for our son.

Left an inspector gadget hat, wild thornberry lift ride and a purple doodle bug...Thanks for the hunt!!
