Welcome to the newly redone GREEROPOLY cache. This is an eight-step cache which is based on the board game Monopoly.
The cache is intended to give you some fun and allow you to see a few spots of Greer SC that you may not be familiar with. The entire trip will be approximately 5 miles. You will begin your trek to wealth by finding the first clue where you would expect to begin any game of Greeropoly. The first seven clues are all film canister size or magnetic key holder size except clue 5 which is a small custom container. The cache itself is about a half-gallon. Most of the clues will be easy to find and require no hiking. I've double checked the coordinates at each spot and they should be very close. As you find a clue it will give you a hint as to the location of the next clue and the coordinates will be written on the back of the document. As you advance around town seeking the final goal of becoming rich and powerful remember to be stealthy because most of the clues are hidden in urban setting with frequent passersby. Note-When you reach the spot for clue 3 you may need to muster all of your courage to actually make the hunt. It is possible that some of you may have to get a friend or loved one to find clue 3 for you. So when you get there just remember that I got permission to make the hide from the �Dean� of this institution. But please don't go inside - I've had some people actually look for the clue inside this institution. Note-After completing clue 5, you may want to take a short walk to Trade Street and visit the Greer Heritage Museum. I wanted to include it in this cache but could not find a hiding spot around the property, and it didn�t fit with the theme. Just in case you get stuck I will post clues for each step. They will be spoilers so don�t use them unless you have to. Good luck on your road to fame, fortune, and power. |

I actually found this as my first cache ever. I then adopted it later on from the owner. I have very fond memories of this fantastic cache. I put my own spin on it later on.

Open Log: Unrestricted First cache of the day. Took us a while to locate the final cache location. Each of the stages were great and allowed me to see what Greer had to offer. Thanks for the scenic tour. TNLN. Had a blast.
