Cache is located on the Fleming-Auburn Trail. Trail is accessible from 2 locations - State Rt 34 or Dunning Ave, just outside city limit.
This cache is designed for musicians and music appreciators - spotlighting LOCAL talent! The large ammo box contains a cassette player and tapes of local musicians. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE TAPE PLAYER or LISTENING TAPES from the cache site. Exception being if you really, really like one of the tapes...then take it and let me know in a log so I can replace it. There are lots of other musical goodies in the cache that you may trade for including: 3 Broadway CD's Christmas Songbook Beginners piano piece Sheet Music for "Somewhere Out There" A Sing-Along-Book with words, piano & quitar A rehearsal pencil Cork grease "Fantastiks" pin Link to an excellent local instrument repairman Info on Community Bands Info on Elderhostel Community Band - Albany, NY Info on Music-Minus-One stuff & more The listening tapes included in the box at this time are: 1. Elderhostel Band Concert - recorded 7/2002 2. Live tape of Julie Howard & Bob Pioran's Jazz Band performing Dec. 1992 @ Duveres 3. Original song material of local legend Bobby Doyle 4. The walk in is flat and easy - the cache is located in an area where you can relax and find a nice place to sit and listen for a while. ENJOY! |

By far, this is the best cache i've been to. I'm a Singer/Dancer/Actor (yes even at my age) and this has to be the best cache I've been to. Fell in love with the Broadway CD..Didn't have anything to trade so I borrowed it and will get something in the cache on my next visit to Auburn. TNX Found it @ 3:45 PM..#15/16 for the day... One to go before I fall over !Comments on Geocache.com

Great walk down the trail...leaves crunching under my feet and the sun on my back. Listened to a little Bob Doyle as I signed the logbook. Took nothing; left nothing.

Open Log: Personal use only Fabulous Fall day. A nice walk. Trail was smooth and straight. The kind I prefer. Busy pathway - a walker with headphones and a CD player, a brown bunny, a biker, and two friends on a gingerly walk. Left a novel, Pam Conrad’s Prairie Songs. Thanks for starting my week off on the right foot.
