The park is located four miles south of Sun City Center, off U.S. 301 on Lightfoot Road. You will have to go to the main park entrance on Lightfoot road and tell them you want to hike the Northern Wilderness Trail. They will give you directions to the access gate and combination.
Not many people seem to know about this section of the park and it is well worth the visit. Bring water and deet. The cache is 1.67 miles in on the river side. The trail is part of The Florida Trail and has a connector that will cut the trail basically in half. Bring water and deet. The container is a large metal can that has been painted green and has a small piece of yellow nylon tied to it to form a loop. This is one of our favorite spots. As always please trash out!
