This is the fifth cache in a series highlighting the local structures designed by world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Inside is a clue which will lead you to a final cache location. Be sure to write this clue down so you can find the final.

The listed coordinates are for the Blue Sky Mausoleum. In order to determine the final coordinates for this cache, you will need to find out what section of Forest Lawn Cemetery the mausoleum is in. You can find this by locating the sign along the roadside, just to the east of the sidewalk to the mausoleum. Using this two-digit number on the sign and the coordinates below, you will find the cache somewhere nearby in Delaware Park. The coordinates for the cache are as follows:
N 42° 55.7A9
W 78° 52.0B9

A= The 1st digit on the sign, PLUS 1
B= The 2nd digit on the sign

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THOSE LAID TO REST. Hours that the cemetery is open vary be season and entrance. Please be sure to check the sign at the gate to ensure you don't get locked in. The main entrance at Delaware & Delavan is open from 8AM-7PM, and the two Main Street entrances are open from 8AM-5PM.

Frank Lloyd Wright designed Blue Sky Mausoleum at the request of Darwin Martin. It was the last of four projects Martin personally commissioned from Wright.

Correspondence reveals that the two men discussed Blue Sky Mausoleum between 1925 and 1928, and also reflects Martin's desire to bring his family together for all eternity at Forest Lawn. Alas, it was never built. When Martin passed away in 1935, Wright said, "Today my best friend has died."

In 2004, Forest Lawn Cemetery constructed Blue Sky in conjunction with an architect trained by Wright himself, based on extensive research into Wright’s drawings, notes, and correspondence. Today, its broad stairs and soaring monolith rise toward the heavens, as Wright had envisioned and Martin had desired.

The Blue Sky design has been retired forever, ensuring that this structure at Forest Lawn is the sole rendering in the world. The 24 crypts within Blue Sky Mausoleum represent the only opportunities in the world where one can choose memorialization in a Frank Lloyd Wright structure.

Logging this as a find over a year later.

My original log went:
"Always like finding caches that make you go to Forest Lawn. Such abundant history. Thanks for the cache, Rayman.

This was a fun one. I still have to get around to the final, though! Thanks Rayman.

I dunno Rayman, looks like Senior Searches have given up on your series here! Got there shortly after opening, saw another vehicle, knew it had to be a geocacher. I then met CheapSunglasses at the final. As a matter of fact, they just handed me the cache :-). Masoleum was very interesting. TFTC and series, Rayman.

Took a ride to Forest Lawn this morning and thankfully found the gates open a little earlier than the posted 8:00AM. After a short visit at Blue Sky we retrieved the information neccessary to complete the cache and sign the log at 7:45 AM. Thanks again for the tour.
