Comments:
You could also start out at N36 17.314 W82 10.566 It's a bit more of an (easy) hike alongside the mountain starting along a "Private" road that all the locals say is a public easement to the trail (which is an overgrown extension of the road). Can't say if it's public or private.. it's on you...

Located between Elizabethton and Hampton along 19E, it's a black ammo box

The Hardest part of this cache is finding a place to park. The best place to start the short hike is at N 36 17.761 W 82 10.877 Either way take time to look over the intact edge to see the remains of a bus caught in a flood.

Found it, or rather what was left of it. It looked as if the cache had been vandalized. The ammo box was badly bent and the contents were scattered all over. Rounded up everything possible and re-hid the box under a rock ledge at N36 17.722 W082 10.822.

What a great place for a cache! sure wouldn't have seen all that just driving by. Thanks for a great cache and I hope it gets repaired.
