Trailhead is just west of the Smokey the Bear sign in Ogden Canyon. To park, look for turn-in just after the 10-mile marker and Indian Trail sign if you are approaching from 12th Street. If you shoot past the turn in, you can take the next left, a bridge and do a ring around the cement block to get you back. Coordinates for the trailhead are N41º 14.411 / W111º 54.292 (Careful! these coordinates are pasted from CWC!) he! he! he!

This cache is a tribute to the CWC Ogden Canyon Cache, in honor of all the Newbie Normans’ who put their trust in the Hacker (Sorry about that Greenschist, got your profile mixed up with the good rev. Neal! It's fitting I should screw this one up too, don't you? he!he!he!) that “fat fingered” the original coordinates. Some of us newbies went up several times to find the hidden cache, to no avail. I learned a lot about geocaching and the area in those few days and now, since I have recovered, I can laugh about it. We did a lot of bushwacking in this area while looking for the CWC cache, where we even found a rock matching the cheat description.

Be sure to also check out the Potato Rock cache while you are in the area. You can weed-whack right over the hill (that’s what we did and I have the scars to prove it!) or go back down to the fork in the trail. There are rumors that a sacrificing is being planned for the near future.

Follow the trail and your GPS to the big fork in the trail. Go right and continue up the trail. You’ll have to do a bit of scrambling, the ground is very soft and gives way. But once you do get there you’ll be rewarded with a wonderful view.
