This is the Oops cache, because it was originally hidden temporarily as a moving cache, only to find out another "local" moving cache was hidden less than 24 hours prior. But I don't think there are enough Navicachers around to support two moving caches, and I liked this location so much, I decided to just make it a permanent Navicache. Oops also means, that you could be seriously injured in you're not careful seeking and retrieving this cache!

The cache is located in the Town of Lockport, on a huge plot of public town land with well established (muddy) trails along the New York State Barge Canal, which is very popular with ATV'ers. There are three geocaches in the area, although only one (Wingardium Leviosa) is listed on Navicache.com. THIS CACHE IS HIDDEN IN A SCENIC, YET PRECARIOUS POSITION! Note the terrain rating of 4 stars. I ain't kidding! :-). Park at N 43 07.994 W 078 43.476, and proceed to the cache location, but I strongly advise approaching from "the top", i.e. from behind the cache as you're coming from the parking coords. Know your limits, and do not attempt if you have any reservations. Remember to hug a tree, it could save your butt! The cache is mostly exposed next to some large rocks. Getting to it is the hard part. Please return it partially exposed for the next seeker, as it's highly unlikely it will ever be stumbled upon.

The cache is a mayonaise jar wrapped in camo tape, with the lid spray painted Olive Drab. It is marked externally as a "Navicache", and has a Navicache stash note inside. Ignore any references on the cover of the logbook referring to it as the "Buffalo-Niagara Moving Cache", which has been retired. I'll take care of that on the first maintenance visit.

I placed 2 Opencaching.us caches nearby, and I did not see this thing. Feel free to look for it, and keep it if it's still there somewhere. Which I highly doubt. Be careful though!!!

Wow! Belive what Urkel tells you! Of course, I bushwhacked further than I had too, but hey, I can always find a way to do a cache the "hard way". Definately one of the best hides in WNY!
PS, did someone loose a sherpa?? If so, I left him by the cache......

So, do you think it was wrong of me to sign the log and re hide the cache before I called for rescue for Bacalls fall down the hill?
Yes, it is me, the APRIL FOOL!
But seriously, another great Urkle hide. Now I just have to figure what to do with all these ropes and harness I didn't need, anyone know whether or not Sherpas can be returned? I never opened the package.

Oops. I went at this from the bottom up. I always seem to do things the hard way. Nice hide. Thanks for the fun. Outdoorkpn. ( King Pin )

Urkel, you're killing me here! First I almost got ran over by a trio of ATVs, then I took a stick in the ear and up my nose. To make it interesting, I did some extra unnecessary bushwhacking and hill ascending/descending. I found the cache pretty easily, then just sat there enjoying the area for a few minutes. Great hide, glad you made it permanent. As usual, I TNLN.

Wow - I actually got a STF! Never thought *that* would ever happen :) Being such a crazy week for me, I wasn't planning on being able to fit any Geocaching in, however... after seeing this listing last night, and it being so close to my cache, I gladly rearranged my schedule today to look for this one :P

This is a really great spot. I wish I had found it first :) I do have to say that it wasn't anywhere near as hard to get as I had imagined... I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing! But then again, I attacked from the top, as suggested. I can't even imagine trying to access the cache from below - yikes!

I am now (finally) the proud owner of a famous Urkel carabiner. I left a Mountain Dew and a Pepsi key chain. Thanks for the fun distraction in an otherwise un-fun week!

Edit - Trying to get my pictures in!
