Humblest apologies to the entire Parliament-Funkadelic family for the adaptation of their classic title in the naming of this cache. New coordinates as of 8/24/02 19:25.

On my long trips up and down the Garden State Parkway, I have occasionally discovered that the rest areas are just a little bit too far apart. I found this location during just such a crisis.

It's seen better days, but is still a good, legal spot to stretch the legs. I consulted a State Police officer the day I placed the cache and he told me it was OK to go into that area. The cache was originally placed at the site of a grisly Garden State murder, the convicted mastermind of which is still on Death Row. Brrr....

I moved it to a more accessible but still challenging location in the interest of safety.

It's an easy find from either direction, and may or may not cost you a toll, depending on where you get on. Make sure you exit in the direction you entered, because U-Turns are not permitted. I hope you hit it on your way to finding some of the really great Garden State caches. Thanks!

Timely

I remember this one! Was nice to finally find it after searching its old location. Love my Franklin Institute heart, it holds all my pencils now.

Found this one with no trouble. I had driven by here the other day on my way to a conference. I marked the turn off. Cache was in fine shape (everything brand-spanking new).

I left a Franklin Institute pencil holder (heart) and took the electrical adapters.

Thanks for the hunt.

Very nearly missed the area but managed to pull off and enter. And who did we see at the cache spot? None other than Timely himself, who was about to move the cache to a different location. Talk about good timing! Signed the log, made some trades and had a bit of a chat. Great to meet a fellow geocacher. Thanks.
