Comments:
This is a short walk from the parking area. Most of it's on a level gravel road. The high terrain rating comes from the last little bit that's up a steep gravel hill. You also have to climb over some rocks that can be dangerous. However, no special equipment is needed

The cache is a rubbermaid container with a white lid. It's located in one of my most favorite places. If the weather's nice you could even bring a lunch and keep the rock company while enjoying the view.

Don't let the terrain rating scare you. I just want to make sure that everyone's aware that it is fairly steep around the cache and you should be very careful. I would not recommend that children or people that aren't in decent physical condition attempt it.

The easiest way to approach would be to take Highway 34 until you reach a road at N44 28.023, W123 30.196. Follow that road to a parking area just a short distance from the cache. I should also mention that any vehicle can make it to the parking lot, since it's paved the whole way. As you turn onto the road you will notice a sign saying that there's a fee 5 miles ahead, no need to worry as you won't be going that far unless you choose to do more exploring.

There are many other things to see while up in this area. Further up the road there's a larger waterfall than the one you should have passed on the way up. There are also many nice views, a campground, restrooms, and lots of trails. Have fun!

What a most excellent evening for a cache. It was the hardest cache of the day during our Corvallis run, but well worth it.
