Comments:
The site is about ten miles back on some nasty dirt roads, easy for a truck but your Honda will take a beating. Most of the year the road is flooded about half a mile from the parking area, but a good Detroit-made 4X4 won't have any problem. Park at N43 51.057 W73 39.739 , and hike a little ways. This is a quiet (no motorboats) lake, so bring your kayak and make a day of it. Also, from the parking lot, Pharoh Mountain is an easy day hike- go for it.

These are the traditional stomping grounds of The Utica Club, and a nice out-of-the-way camping spot too.

Welcome to Crane Pond! This is a tribute to the best group of friends a guy could have. We mostly met at SUNYIT, and consumed so much of a particular beverage that we soon became known as "The Utica Club". Well, we somehow managed to gradjetate and now we design your carriers and planes! Heh heh. We like this area, and drive from all over to camp here every year.

This cache will take you within shouting distance of our favorite spot, so if you see an American Flag, a full-size grill, and about eighteen coolers, shout "UC!" and we will invite you over (or moon you... -just kidding).

Remember- be stealthy. There are a lot of campsites around, and it is your duty to keep the cache secret!
