Found about 2 weeks back but taking time to log all my gc.com finds onto this site. Very glad I was finally able to navigate the way back to here after running into lots of water on all previous attempts.

The rain finally stopped when I got here. I must admit I almost didn't do it. It was just to wet and the water levels were to high. But then I Remembered the Hinge Thunder is very clever. I worked around the problem and got to the cache site. My boots were just high enough to cross the wet lands. I Signed the log book and traded some bubble gum for a hotwheel. I also took a couple of pics for y'all to gaze at. Very nice... very clever... Bearcub was here in spirit.

Open Log: Personal use only A dry day for a swampy stroll. Found cache intact at 1:30 PM. Had a difficult time opening the cache box. Next time I will bring my Swiss Army knife. Signed log book and left a Red Rose figurine - mountain lion. Saw two bikers using the trail. Colorful hiding place.

Gone down this path many a time...was about time I looked for the treasure along the side. Enjoyed the walk on this fine drizzly morning...didn't get to wet. Took nothing, left nothing.

Ended my work day just down the road so found this cache first then biked over to Gimpy's cache which is a little further down the bike path. You got to love the towns that have and use the bike paths.

Open Log: Personal use only This wasn't our first attempt at locating this cache. The first was when the area was a small lake, the second was early summer when the mosquitoes drew welts on your skin. Both times we decided to come back when the envirnment was friendlier. We really hadn't had time to get back here until today and we only live a few miles away. Headed straght for the cache. Took nothing, left nothing.

Lets just say we got to go in a full circle. No problems finding the cache, coordinates seem to be dead on. It was still dry at the cache area but boots would have been nice so as to cut the circle short. Thanks for the hide.

This one is actually less than half a mile from home so we waited til it was nice and dry. Box is high and dry.

Veni Vedi Vici! The second time was the charm. The sun wasn't quite as bright and the dark was not as dark. The water is pretty much gone. Found it quickly, without too much trouble this time. Took nothing, left shoe laces and a few butterscoth candies. I didn't bring small enough trinkets with me. Oh, well it was a great hide and I enjoyed finding it. Thanks! Gamma Kitt & Coyote.

Open Log: Personal use only I visited the cache box today, and it is still there. Had trouble finding it myself as the water is gone, the bushes have filled out more, so the terrain was a little different. I tweaked the coords a bit, so maybe that will help. | |

Hinge Thunder you did it again! I was careful not to get my feet wet at first; but I slipped. I was still careful for the first half hour; then, after that it was all out looking, not on all fours but close. My unit kept pointing to one bush, knowing you I should have taken a shovel and looked under the bush root. Reluctantly I stopped from exhaustion after a couple of hours. We are skunked for now... Open Log: Personal use only Went down the well-defined path an saw 150 feet of open water to go. Decided I didn't have the gear I needed. On the way out I tried to access from a different route and was able to get within 30 feet but still didn't want to get wet, so I'' bookmark this for the next drought

Open Log: Personal use only Maybe a little too - too wet in the area. Today, most of the area was frozen so I could cross the ice. I found the cache but the cache was frozen into the ice. Only the top couple of inches of the ammo can showed. I didn't try and remove the can from the ice, you may need an ice pick to do so, and I didn't want to make the cache worse off than it is. So I left the cache as is, not signing the log.

Open Log: Personal use only Neat spot, Hinge Thunder. Indeed a right way & wrong way to go after this one. Luckily, I took the right way. Very nice paths & no problem getting to the cache area. Feet got a little wet but I came prepared.Took an American flag sticker & left a deck of cards. Left my mark in the log book. Thanks.

A good short find. If only I had a better GPS unit I wouldn't have been walking in circles too much to the east for about 45 minutes.
