The third in my series of "After Dark" caches. Watch for one coming to a town near you.
The above coordinates are not where the cache is. They are the starting point for the Firetack trail. Park at N 43 11.001 W 078 42.929. Proceed on the "Blue" trail to the listed coords at the top of this page. Soon after crossing the bridge you should spot the first of the fire tacks. You will be staying on the trail for a bit. When you notice that the fire tack trail ends, you should begin scanning the woods off the trail to find some more firetacks. The end of the firetack trail is marked by a vertical row of 3 firetacks. The cache is located within 15 feet of this tree. Cache container is a small lock n lock container covered in cammo tape. Caution should be taken when searching for this cache. It should prove to be much more challenging that the two previous "After Dark" caches. Some steep climbs are required to find this cache and I would suggest leaving real small children and your four legged friends at home for this one. You will be required to cross a small stream on your journey to this cache so I recommend wearing waterproof footwear. The following is suggested for performing this cache: 1) At least one powerful flashlight with extra batteries. 2) Extra batteries for your GPSr 3) Cell phone 4) Write down the number for 911 5) I would suggest marking several waypoints on your way to the cache. It is very easy to lose your way in the dark in this park. Hope you enjoy this cache. |

Found where I think the firetack trail ends but could not spot any more off of the trail.

I can't express enough how much I've come to love night caches. This one was a total blast on a moonlit winter's night... The 'river' and woods covered with a beautiful, fresh blanket of snow... Great company... Who could ask for more?

Open Log: Personal use only I just remembered this was listed here. Why is this the only of 20+ StickMonkey hides listed here? And what the hell happened to Mr. Z? These questions need to be answered. I found this with Rayman77, and had a blast. TNLN, thanks StickMonkey.
