When you get tired of hiking, it is time to head home. But if you can't find your car, or if your rusted steed has rolled over and died, you may need to call a cab! Start looking for a CHECKER CAB.

Your destination is to find an original Checker Cab. Not one just named "Checker." We are hunting for the original Checker Car Company cabs that were so popular years ago.

The coordinates are for the Kalamazoo Valley Museum which houses one of the last Checkers ever to be manufactured. If you visit the museum, feel free to log the visit as a find as well.

Find a Yellow Cab, or any other Checker Cab and post a picture with you and your GPS in it as well as the coordinates of where you spotted the cab. The cab does not have to be in commission or operable. But if you find one that is still running, take a ride and enjoy the nostalgia of these roomey vehicles.

And don't forget to leave a handsome tip!

cool cache. I love this museum, hard to believe its free. I never got to ride in one of these cabs, the vanity in me says thank goodness! lol
I'll keep my eye out now for one in running condition.

Visited the museum and relived the many rides I've had in Checkers. Not the best looking vehicle but they sure made great cabs. This is also a great place to bring the kids. Thanks...Lindave
