A nice view from the cache. Requires a walk of about 0.8 miles and an elevation change of about 500 feet total -- are you in shape? The trails are very visible, but somewhat rough. Rubbermaid container within a foot of the trail.

This is located in the Erwin Hollow State Forrest. It can be reached by all good trails. There is a good view of Sullivan Park and the new Aurene housing development.
Park on Erwin Hollow Road: (N42 10.640 W77 06.091). You will head NW and then SW. Assuming you approach the cache heading SW (down hill), there is a campfire site just before it gets very steep. (Two pieces of advice: Don't go to the very steep area. Don't make a campfire.) The cache is located just 30 yards back up the trail -- off the trail on the right (to NW). There is a State forest sign with a small blue flag. The cache is hidden behind a hump just about 4 yards away. I covered it completely with leaves and a stone. See photos for better (as Spoilers). The cache contains foreign coins from 8 countries. These are in a "Rubbermaid container".

There are several other caches in the area. See "Cooper's Overlook Cache".

Last cache I did today on geocaching trip to the Corning area. This one was the most difficult physically - up hill - and after lunch. And the mosquitos were guarding the cache, I quickly logged and got out of there! I left some foreign coin, but I don't remember which country. Thanks for a hike in a nice area.

We did this cache with Craegs. It was dark when we started, but the view of all the lights down below was great. The snow made the up hill trek a little more of a challenge, but not too bad. We had some animals foot prints to follow all the way to within 20 feet of the cache! We took the mini magnetic game and left a bag of gold nuggets, a globe key chain and a Cache In/Trash Out bag. Thanks for a fun cache!

This was a nice hike up the mountain. The area was very quiet. Just a few chimpunks scurring around. WE found the cache easily. It was right where it was supposed to be. WE enjoyed looking at all the foreign coins. We took a franc and swapped wheresgeorges. Thanks for bringing us to this place.

I was in this area about 2 years ago and there wasn't a cache around for well over 60 miles. Now they are popping up all over the place!

Nice area and very quiet when I came. Plenty of places to hike around here (If you like hills)

Thanks for the great adventures and for taking the time to place this cache.

We had one heck of a hike on this one!! We jockeyed the parking coordinates around a
little bit and pretty much went straight into the cache. It's not always good to do that kind of
hike after overeating... Beautiful spot and a lot of fun for us before our trip back home today.
We found the cache with very little trouble and when we were able to breathe again, we
opened it. We signed the log book, took nothing and left a parachute toy. Thank you for a
job well done. We definately needed the exercise tonight..

2nd of 6 finds today. Found at 12:50 PM.
A real elevation change on this one, 500 feet from the car to the cache and most of it in the first .3 mile. Had no trouble staying on the trail with this one, lots better than bushwacking. Saw a turkey run up the trail ahead of me while going in. Found cache real quick. GPS said 5 feet while I was logging in. Took/left nothing. Thanks for the 2nd hide in the Erwin Hollow State Forest. Now across the valley to the Erwin Game Management Area.
