Pike
This cache was placed with the much appreciated help and input of the Ohio Dept of Wildlife
Located in Pike State Forest in Pike Co.near the intersection of The Mitchell Ridge and Buckeye trails. There is a good wide trail with almost no bushwhacking involved. (I wore shorts and a T-shirt while hiding it and never got a scratch until I decided to be a hero and Be-line back down the hill to the car instead of following the trail. Even that wasn’t too bad.
Pike Lake is in a scenic setting surrounded by wooded hills. They offer camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, hiking, and there is horseback riding nearby. The lake was dug by hand by CCC corpsmen in the 1930s.
I didn’t see any trash lying around but if you see some while you are there please pick it up and pack it out.
The cache is stocked with everything I could get in it and still get the lid on.
Some of the swag is a multitool, radar detector, waterproof matchbox, toy soldiers and other mesc. Also a travel bug named Sweet Betsy From Pike that wants to go to the former California gold fields near Sutters Mill and then return to Pike. The difficulty level is high because of the hill you will need to climb. The cache itself is pretty much a gimme once you are on the ridge
Enjoy

Came back after this one with a vengence (as well as hints from maggiezoo and wounded knee). Coordinates seemed a little off, but unfortunately I was to excited with the find and forgot to mark the cache. Glad I got to find this one after a second trip up that hill. I did need the exercise though. Took nothing, left a usual fireman. Thanks.
