This is a 2 leg multi micro cache to showcase the Town of Amherst's newest park, Eggertsville Park. The park is located along a lesser known section of Sweet Home Road, between Maple Road and Sheridan Drive, much closer to Maple Road. Parking coordinates and a mapquest map of parking are available by clicking on the link in "The Selector" near the bottom of this cache description.

After exiting the geo mobile, admire the sparkling brand new (at the time of cache placement) playground and basketball court. Don't worry, you'll not have to be acting like a weirdo in full public view though, because there is a nice stone walking trail that makes about a 1/4 mile loop in a wooded area east of the playground, and that's where both legs of this cache are.

The first leg is slightly devious, but nothing most people haven't seen before, and it should be pretty visible, especially with no foilage fall, winter and spring. The final leg is a green waterproof matchbox container, which you should easily be able to remove from it's hiding place, and return snuggly in place when you are finished with it.
Ideally, I would have liked to place a traditional end cache in the woods inside the loop, but it appears to be a hangout for kids. Both legs of this multi micro cache are very winter accessable.

(Urk...spell check in the title? Is that right...? It's late, and I'm going crazy...but...is that right? Haha. Okay enough of my shenanigans...) And now the log:

Night caching in the cold rain! YES!!! Made a special trip out tonight to do this cache...and then a little post caching celebration at Don Pablos. So all in all, a most excellent night.

The cords for the first stage where a little wore off and hard to read, but they must have been clear enough because we nailed the final cache hide.

Our first trip to this nice (and waterlogged) park. Thanks Urk!

Szuchie. ;)

Oops, forgot to log my find on this site. I thought that I had looked well enough at the part one hiding spot on my first two attempts, but aparently not. The subsequent replacement practically jumped out at me on my third trip. Then I easily found the final, but was too dumb to realize it can be removed from its spot. Needless to say, I had a hard time opening it without removing it. TFTC.
