"Arrr" I say!

A Pirates bounty is well placed in these parts for the few lucky searchers to take on this adventure along the great lake Ontario!

A nice wind will follow you as you make your trek through the narrow and winding pathway between two waters. A good eye and a bit of searching should have you grinning in no time.

For those of you unable to locate my treasure, 7 years of bad luck will follow you everywhere you go!

Watch over your shoulders when viewing my gold and prizes, don't let the other onlooking Pirates catch a glimpse of your doings.

Lake Ontario was the site of many famous ship wrecks and battles, you can learn more about this area by visiting such sites as The Lake Ontario Seaway Trail Guide

Bring the kids and picnic basket, throw on the swim trunks and spend the day!

You can get here by Car,Boat, or bike... but be sure to use the coordinates of the parking area I provide to you so you avoid the law!

I have left some very nice items in this treasure, including bits of gold and a brand new full set of Delorme Topo Map Cd's. Trade well and make this interesting for the next adventurers to find my treasure.
A stack of "George" bills are also inside, take one and only one per group, and leave another in it's place.

I held 10 sats with full bar locks the entire time I was here. Coordinates were checked and double checked with an estimated accuracy of 15 feet.

If you need any clue's they are listed below...if you look you will be cursed with 2 years of bad luck for each one needed!

Bugs are few and this cache can be done year round. Swimming is great and boaters will find this cove to be a treat!

I,too, suspect this one might be gone. Took a walk out last night. Found several likely hiding spots (and one particularly likely one!) and no cache. Seven of us scoured the area to no avail. The sunset was beautiful, though!

okay...
I'll make a trip out and check on the condition of this cache to see if it is still intact.

Once I know the fact I will post it here.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with Hornet.

We searched for an hour to no avail. The only thing we found was a ton of trash and an almost new boat fender.

This place must get a lot of traffic during the day. We ran into 5 or 6 people while we were in the area and we were there around 1:30 AM!

Arrg! Me thinks the treasure has been plundered! We took a peek at the clues and I am pretty sure we were in the right spot, but no treasure!

Thought the cache would be easy to find because is was familar territory. I intitially was looking in the wrong spot. Brought my niece and nephews with me the second time and then found it right away. Thanks Quinn for the great cache site.

Stopped here with the family after the Hilton Apple Festival (too crowded). It was a pleasant place that I didn't realize was there. Will go back with my bike. The boys climbed trees and we just hung around enjoying the great weather. Left a bag of Pirates Treasure from North Carolina and took the CD. Thanks for the hide.

Probably my favorite of Quinn's hides. Good thing the definition of "Dusk" is somewhat loose. Found the cache around 8:30, at first I thought I may be cursed for 7 years, looked for a bit before I busted out my headlamp and found it in no time. After all a pirate is no match for a ranger. Got treated to the tale end of a beautiful sunset as well.

Speaking of Rangers check out the The Fellowship of the Ring cache. This is the original and ultimate LOTR quest style cache and has been nominated by some as one of the best caches in the NE US, plus get a chance to earn your very own wall hanging/quilt from the famous geoquilter DxChallenged!

Also while your in town check out the Gamehendge Rangers other caches, all of which have been mentioned in a recent frontpage news story. Plus keep an eye out for my soon to be released --what a long strange trip it's been-- cache, a difficult cache, loosely based on my travels across the country, featuring miles of hiking, tons of waypoints, puzzles, and other surprises.

Went looking last night but we ran out of daylight. Came back and found it today without too much trouble. I'd thought of putting one out there, but alwaays wondered where people would park. Good solution though Quinn. Thanks for another adventure.

This might be one of the best locations we went to for a geocache. The wind was brisk and there were big waves on the water. It felt like we were at the ocean. We walked to the end, only wish the path kept going. Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for the nice walk. Found it at 6:55 pm.

Wanted to do this one yesterday, but decided to wait.....

So, Casey and I went this morning; nobody else would wake up.

We found the treasure with Casey's own gps(garmin etrex).
He knows how to use the tool quite well, and he's only 10.
While we were admiring the treasure, we heard a BIG splash,
it scared the "chit" out of us! LOL The splash turned out to be a huge fish. The thing was jumping all over the place! It acted like it was guarding the cache! LOL Anyways, we made an even trade, and signed the log. Very nice, Quinn!

First! I dashed off after this one as soon as I saw it posted - what a great spot! I enjoyed the neighborhood on my stroll to the cache site. Lovely scenery, swans and geese, and water, water, everywhere. As I stated in the log, I could have stayed there all day. An ingenious little hiding spot! I dropped off a geocaching.com travel bug because I didn't plan on going to any of their sites today - maybe the next person can get him back on track. :) Traded some Georges, swapped a few items - wonderful stuff in this cache! I was drawn to the CBS Radio Mystery CD like a magnet, and the watch was a gotta-have. I hope my trade-ins were as nice. Thanks for another fun adventure!
