Coleraine Lookout Tower, one of the few remaining fire lookout towers, it has not been used in years. There is also a benchmark near the tower. Cache container is a smaller rubbermaid type of container.
Come take a look at what used to be used for fire lookout. There are not many of these towers remaining, now planes are used to spot smoke in the wilderness. A short hike and something to show the kids before they are all gone. Start at County Road 440, and there is a trail from the road, an easy walk, the tower can be seen from 440. |

Open Log: Personal use only These towers are fantastic! If only they would unlock the gate so I could climb up and enjoy the view! Great location for a cache! Thanks a bunch! Left a couple superballs and a pack of post its & signed the log. Never knew this was here before. Really enjoyed the location!

Did Mt Griffin today, and then saw this one come up. So, off to do my first night cache, with what little energy I had left... Had forgotten how fierce mosquitoes are after dark. Got to do the FTF dance while swatting. Had nothing with me that would fit in cache so left dollar for the next finder. Thanks, Tac.
