The Brighton cemetery is not on most maps. Park at the end of Hoyt Place. This is an easy 2-part multi. Knock on the largest monument when you pass it - you'll be surprised to find it is made of metal!
The Brighton cemetery is the resting place of many famous early settlers including members of the Stone, Cobb and Blossom families. Downtown Brighton used to be across the Erie Canal (now 490) from here, at the corner of Winton and East Avenue. In 1905 The city of Rochester annexed Brighton Village and renamed it the 21st Ward, leaving Brighton without a center. The land area of Brighton has been reduced by annexation, from the maximum in 1817, when it contained all the land east of the Genesee River and west of the Towns of Pittsford & Penfield. It was bounded on the south by the Town of Henrietta & on the north by Lake Ontario. |

WE FOUND THE CACHE PRETTY EASY. THE ONLY THING WAS THERE WERE NO DIRECTIONS FOR THE SECOND PART. IT WAS NICE TO LOOK THROUGH THE CEMETARY AT PAST HISTORY.

Must have been a two-part multi in the past!! That's OK, we all know this website is practically dead. Sad, seeing as Rochester is Navicache World HQ. Anyways, found this with a group of 11 people. Even so, it took at least 5 minutes for us all messing around in the hard crusty snow. I TNLN, TFTC.

Open Log: Unrestricted Second cache find ever, actually this is the first day i have ever done this. Thought I was supposed to be looking for a white box but it has been wrapped in camo duct tape. Should consider better water proof box, contents were wet. Great time though!! Cannot wait to hunt some more!

Logging as a comment here although I really should have logged a *find* here and a note on gc.com. It's just easier to log the find there since it takes it off my caches to-do list -- which doesn't seem to be function here.

I saw this listed last night, but didn't want to drive out again. I was actually at the cemetery last night looking for potential spots that Kahuna could have hidden this one, based on a find note on another nearby cache. Had I only walked in, I probably would have found it (although it was night, so maybe not.) After getting home from that, I went out again for a new cache in Pittsford, so I didn't want to go out a third time!
