Esko Cache, a cache dedicated to our climbing friend from Duluth. Cache is on the top of a lean ore dump behind Mud Lake. Cache container is a plastic container of the smaller rubbermaid type.

This cache is placed on one of the higher lean ore dumps in the area. There are a number of trails leadig to the area from Highway 169 (abt. 1.2 miles)and also from County Road 12 (abt. 1/2 mile but probably steeper). You can also just scale the dumps. The container will take things like Hot Wheels etc. but not CD's etc. Sorry for those who don't like a long walk with a climb, I had to make one to lure EskoClimber back to our area this summer. Cache is accessible by ATV, hiking, even a mountain biker.

Found this cache in October of '05 as a geocache before I ever heard of Navicaching. Did you see my new Navicaches in the area?

Great hike, great hide. Sure is pretty up here this evening and the bugs were having fun, near the cache. Thanks for bringing me here tonight. The only thing I had along with me that would fit in the cache was a superball, so I left it. :)

Doing the FTF dance again. Nice view from up here. Left trading items in the car and was not about to make this climb again, so left the dollar for the next climber. Thanks, as always, Taconite!
