This Cache was placed by Hinge Thunder & Rippie.
The coordinates listed for this cache are actually just the entrance to the Orc's domain. You must be brave! You must endure the foul stench of Orcs all around you. Travel towards where the sun comes from, straight and sure until you reach the ladders of ascension. At the base of the ladders of ascension, you will find a bleeding yellow 'eye'. It is here that you will find the key to the treasure. Cache box is a 30 cal ammo box painted to match the surroundings. It contains a log book, cache camera (to take a picture of yourself), and small assortment of trade items including a VHS edition of the animated Lord Of The Rings, a knife, a flashlight, a ring of power, a compass, etc. Due to the nature of this cache, it should NOT be done alone. You should leave a cacheplan with someone detailing where you will be. You will need a dependable flashlight/headlamp, and should bring a backup light for safety. You will be walking in a stream bed, so boots are recommended, or at least shoes that you don't mind getting wet, and have good traction on wet rocks. Please make sure cachebox is well concealed when you are finished with it. Please do not mark cache as found unless you actually reached it. Disclaimer: You are under no obligation to hunt this cache. You do so at your own risk. Like any outdoor sport, it carries the risk of unforeseen hazards. Use your best judgment with the environment and conditions. As conditions and cache locations may vary, it is the responsibility of the searcher to be familiar with the conditions in the area to be searched, to adequately prepare for those conditions, and to conduct oneself safely and responsibly and remain within his or her personal abilities and limitations. Children should be well supervised. When and if you find a cache, you are under no obligation to touch it, reach it, climb to it, dig for it, pick it up, or even open it. Open it at your own risk. Individual Geostash and GPS cache sponsors assume no liability for events, which may occur, related directly or indirectly to your searching for a stash. |

Completed the cave on Sunday with a friend of the family and my two daughters (11 and 16 - CupieDoll and Hakaishi) and go the key, but don't have time to prowl around for the cache proper.

Open Log: Personal use only The second cache of the day with a large group. Definitely wouldn't want to try this one alone. Thanks to Racer and Bo who organized this and everyone who tagged along. It was fun caching with a group.

We were right in the area a few weeks back doing some other caches but for some reason (like Bill is an idiot) we did not think to bring cords for this one.

This was one of the hardest yet - very dark, smelly and rough terrain, but waaaayyy cool. Thanks

Already wrote up my adventures on another site, so all I'll say here is "Kris and I found it!" and "Bring Rope!"
