Main cache is a 12 oz Rubbermaid container, letter box hybrid, containing a log book, stamp and stamp pad. Log your visit and use the stamp but please leave and take nothing. If you are interested, a container with items to swap is nearby. Its coordinates are in the cache container.

The cache is in Bullock's Woods, a little know Rochester gem. You are likely to see deer, birds and many squirrels and chipmunks. Access is via a N-S trail. There are obstacles to direct entry from the east and west.

Well, this wasn't the best decision to go caching today. We saw a little bright spot in the clouds and decided to "Go for it". We got to within 200 ft, when the thunder and lightning started. I sent the rest of the gang back, and I ran for the cache. Luckily, I found it pretty easily, signed the log book with the date and our name only. I replaced the cache, and took off running toward the car, that was a half mile away. I'm to old for this running stuff.
Anyway, a nice hide. We plan on coming back (under different conditions), just to wander thru this park.
Thanks

Had to find this one, even though by now Sean (6) is getting very cranky. He's a trooper though, climbing over all the deadfalls. Found it in about 10 minutes of looking. I can see where this one will increase in difficulty in wet weather. As it was, both the bugs and the mud were hiding today, so we had quite a good time. Now Sean has really earned his Slurpee, so we're off to the 7-11. Thanks for the fun.

Found the first part at 7:55 pm and the second one at 8. Didn't know these trails went back this far. Took nothing, left nothing.

Found it! Only saw one deer this time, but it was lovely. I took my mom along with me on this one since she played in the nearby woods in her youth and wanted to see if she recognized anything. She did remember the small falls we passed on the way in. We both made it to the main location and the swap-spot, too - both were very nicely hidden. The lid on the tupperware container did NOT want to stay closed, though.

We took in a bit more of the area, watched boats from a dock, and enjoyed a gorgeous evening. Took a WWF motion card from the stash, left a promotional keychain character. For part one, I was in a precarious position so my handwriting in the log is even worse than usual. Thanks for the hide!

Long day of kayaking with Hinge Thunder. We did a little side trip to get this cache in while paddling down the river. The sun must have been getting to me because i thought i seen a ship with the navicache stamp design on its flag, with a bunch of "savory" types on board. Just a mirage i guess.

Rippie and I found this cache together. I actually walked past the first part only to have Rippie right behind me pull the box from it's hiding spot. I found the swapping container first. Both were pretty easily found, but coords were 15-25 feet off. I worked to get slight better coords, and gave them to lowerfalls. When I got to the area of the first part, there were footprints all around the area that looked like Quinn's, so I expected to find his name in the log book, but it wasn't there. Hmmm...

Came with Caron on this very warm day to give this cache a go but were unable to find the critter even after about 1.5 hours of searching.

We located the area and trailway with not too much trouble, and even managed to spook up a few deer in the travels on foot. But once we were in the cache area and put our searching skills to work we came up empty even after fanning out 80 feet from ground zero in a search pattern. The walk and scenic value was nice along the waterway, and even the few skeeters we crossed we not enough to ruin the trek in and out of Bullock Woods. I will wait to see if any others are able to find this one and if so I will give it another shot!

What a day this turned out to be!!!!!!

We were just like batman this morning , and found the Orc's
Treasure. After that, we went home and did some yard work, and some projects around the house. As I was finishing up, the boys suggested that we go swimming. So I took them to Webster off of Bay road and let them jump off of a small bridge, and go swimming. Anyways, on our way back home, we tried to find this one. I don't know where these boys get their energy, but we searched for a while, and just couldn't find it... the boys didn't seem to mind though, they were off finding their own treasures. I guess they just know how I am, and that eventually we will be back. Even the easy ones can sometimes fool ya! LOL

Til next time!
