Finally, my third cache is up and running, and I have to say this is probably my best yet!
I found this area while Red Mage and I were hiking north to find another cache. I saw the area from Taylors Canyon and knew that I just had to get to it. Upon our arrival we found this great area where one can have a lot of fun just jumping around and climbing. I just knew I had to place a cache here. The closest parking is at the 27th Street Trailhead, but the 29th Street Trailhead is just as easy. Choose which ever you prefer. There are a number of small trails that will get you up to the general area, ranging from an easy walk, to a wild scramble up the mountain side. You'll just have to find the right one for you. The trails end soon enough and you have to find your own way up to the cache. Most children should be able to make the hike, just be sure to keep an eye on them as there are a lot of places they could get stuck or even fall. Oh, and just a note, this area seems to be visited by those by whom we would rather not be seen. Yes, I know that's awkward, but I refuse to use that wretched "M" word. So keep an eye out. Well...don't just sit there, go find it! |

Open Log: Non-commercial use only Tough to find. Also difficult to scamble in the large boulders with a dog. What out for poison oak.
