Wow, this "old school" cache hasn't been visited for a while. Out caching at Chestnut Ridge with Hiking Cockroachess - she had already found this one a while back but didn't mind going after it again. It was a nice walk down the creek, many pretty views from here. Took a while to find the cache, but everything is looking good. Thanks for maintaining this one Brogan (and now Szuchie!).

Hmm. Stumbled across this one while surfing some old area navicache logs. Logging much later, but found 9 Apr 04. This is currently the oldest existing cache in Erie County, has over 100 visits on "the other website", and has been adopted. The other cache hidden by the long gone original owner "hacker" was also adopted, but was pilfered, and has been moved from it's original location, so that one (Eternal Flame Falls) should remain retired. This one should be un-retired, I'll see if I can make that happen.

Took a wet hike into this cache, but the gps was right on today and found the cache with little difficulty, good job on this! Took an East Aurora Toy Police Badge and a diecast metal truck, left a pokemon toy and a minature deck of cards. I was assisted by Ketchup on this cache but I huckle-buckled him. Thanx!!

Found RX Mamma & Gray Ghost at Eternal Flame Falls cache so we doubled up and proceeded to this one at Chestnut Ridge. For a two star terrain rating we managed to find the four star approach. (Beeline) This is my first time to this park and I found it well worth the drive and hill climbing workout. As usual we took the nice path out. Took nothing but left a plastic fawn figure pilfered from another cache. Thank you Cindy

We located the cache at 6:45 after a nice walk up the stream. GPS was right on target!! We took the
Serenity Prayer card and left hot air balloon stickers and also some plant supports. Thanks for the
night out!

What a great day to find a cache! We took off in the morning and planned on doing 2 today. This was the first. Had a bit of a time finding the parking area as we had never been in this part of the park before. Parked near the top of the hill and walked down. Fearless leader was talking to himself as he couldn't get the readings. We walked around in several circles...All the while a wild man was jogging threw the woods. Not quite sure of his technique as he sounded like a herd of elephants. Anyway, we were all looking and at the same time trying to stay out of wild mans way. I spotted it and son was dissappointed as we are to to the same number of finds so far. Cache was in good shape. Dry, well hidden but with potential of getting swept away. We took a candle light, rainbow light bulb and fish key chain. Left a smiley girls with hearts, NYSEG flasher, wedding bubbles and dog filled with water and beads...
Thanks for the walk!!
