In Shawnee State Forest in Scioto Co.Mostly ridge top travel with very little bushwhacking required.
This is a four stage cache which will take you to some of the high points of the forest. There are some nice short walks along forest trails and fire roads with the stages hidden just far enough off the trail to avoid muggles. All coords are Degrees, minutes and decimal minutes. No codes to break or math to figure out.The main cache contains some nice trade items as well as Army Guy T.B.The whole shebang should take about three hours from the time you arrive in the area. Enjoy your stay,Come back |

What a series. If you haven't seen much of Shawnee State Forest, you'll love this one. I had a blast with this one. At the first stage, I drove up to the area and there must have been 200 people there bird watching. Second stage went smooth. At the parking coordinates for the 3rd stage there were 2 very tired looking gentlemen there who flagged me down. They were hikers who had lost the trail and didn't know where they were at. When they saw me pull up with the search and rescue logo on the side of my blazer and my dog hanging out the window, the hikers thought I had been called out to search for them. After I got them pointed in the right direction, Daniel Boone (my lab) and I went onward. The last stage was well what can I say,.......
