Birdsong Park is a 56 Acre undeveloped Town park in Orchard Park. Unfortunately, it's so undeveloped that there is no parking area. You will have to park on Fairway Drive, near the intersection of Freeman Road. Please use discretion, being a stranger parking in a residential neighborhood, and wandering off into the woods.

After exiting your geomobile, you'll have to cross Freeman Road (please be careful) and head towards the obvious "Walking Trail" sign. Shortly thereafter, you'll be confronted with your first stream crossing. Again, please be careful, the rocks on the bottom are slippery. The cache is rated three star terrain for a reason, you will get wet and muddy seeking this cache.

The cache is a Lock-N-Lock type tupperware container, please ensure it is sealed properly before leaving, it's not hard to figure out. Mad props go out to BarbershopDru, for telling me about Lock-N-Lock's, and more importantly, telling me they were on sale at Wegmans!

This cache contains some quality trade items, please trade fairly.

Geez, I didn't realize Mick was the only one who ever logged here :-). So anyways, as of this date TEMPORARILY DISABLED. Park closed; lots of nice wooden bridges being built in the park. If not re-opened by 15 March 2006, cache will be pulled and archived (was going to be around Memorial Day 2006 anyways).

(Okay...so I'm a casual Navicache logger...well...now transformed perhaps? Don't worry Urk, if you sing it to the tune of a horrible Justin Timberlake song, "We're bringing navicache back!". Hahaha...okay...so many not!) Now the log:

Decided to end our day of mud boggin' with a nice trip through Urkel country (which is typically the same thing as mud boggin' only with a funnier name...hehe).
Found the cache with no problem, and even got to try out one of the "new" bridges. The park is in really good shape and made for a very fun end to a awfully sloppy day.

Also, it seemed only fitting to leave the White Power Ranger TB for the White Urkel.

Thanks TWU for a great cache, I'm really glad I could snag it before it goes MIA. Looking forward however to coming back to the park in the future for more muddy cache-related frivolities!

Another FTF on an Urkel cache! Saw this one pop up while checking another site (GpsGames.org) and had to go grab it. The difficulty rating should be a bit higher untill the snow melt is done and the water level in the creeks lowers. There is a way to get accross the first creek without getting wet if you look around. HINT- Wear BOOTS!!! it's WET back there!
Coords were right on, container is well hidden, firts time I've seen one of those type containers, I'm betting it won't be the last.
Container has some great trade items.
Also, there is a "Terracache" nearby, a geocache from www.terracaching.com ( they don't allow caches to be cross posted) I left a copy of the cache sheet for that one in the ziplock with the logbook.
Thnaks again for the great hide Urkel!
