As our pal Google would say - are ya feeling lucky?

Then try this simple cache where you’ll find a stash of scratch-off lottery tickets. Just grab a ticket, scratch and see where it leads. All will get you to the prize. If you’re lucky, you’ll head straight to the cache. But some... will first take a bit of a "Dumb Luck Detour".
Please take but one ticket. Not only is it not sporting, but useless to scratch greedy. I will periodically refresh the ticket stash, but at any given moment, your chances of avoiding the detour are... approximately 0% - 100%!

Do please note in your log whether you got lucky or stumbled onto the cache by way of the Dumb Luck Detour. The final cache is a regular size Lock 'n Lock - filled with trinkets for trading. And while you're fingering the baubles, you may want to note the wee code letters on the inside of the lid - they might just come in handy for some future GG hide.

This was my first ever cache. What a lot of fun! I left a nice shell from Micronesia which was given to me by my high school students five years ago. I hope someone enjoys it.

We got lucky. A really fun cache! My daughter loved the penguin, but proceeded to lose it in the dog walk. If you find a penguin in the park, go ahead and cache it somewhere. :-)

Well yes and no, Secret Squirrel. Yup, my Dumb Luck Detour cache is still going strong - indeed many have found/logged it in the past few months at gc.com. But... just the other day I learned that someone had taken the last scratch ticket so, I've temporarily disabled it until I have a chance to replenish the stash of scratch tickets.

Sorry, there doesn't seem to be any way to temporarily disable the cache listing here at Navicache. But I'll post another note here when I've filled the 1st wpt w/ tickets.

I couldn't find this cache... is it still there? I spent about an hour and a half looking and couldn't find it. I notice the last log report for it was about 4 months ago. If it's there I'll go back and spend the whole day if necessary... any clues would be great (e.g. color of cache, etc.)

On a family reunion in Seattle, a contingent of 4 adults and 2 kids (5 and 7 YO) visited Dumb Luck Detour after a day at the zoo. We did, in fact take the Detour before finding the treasure.

I found it easily enough. Many muggles around on such a hot day. I took the last scratch ticket, so they will have to be refilled,.

What a great setup! Very nicely done! I visited in-between waypoints on the nearby "Kite Lady's Flight" cache. I made the detour (and what a route I chose - I should know better by now not to always take the direct route to a waypoint!) and that was fun too. I took a rubber chicken and left a Travel Bug. Thanks for a great hunt!
