Out with the LAG team on a Saturday morning after the breakfast event. Myself and Dragonflyby were calling it quits, but CheektowagaChick said "10 more minutes!" and soon after I made the find.

I really enjoyed the short hike from the parking spot to the cache. The falls are quite beautiful and so is the park. It took me a few passes around the site before locating the cache (using more common sense and less of the GPS ;-) because I think that the coordinates posted on the site are a bit off. So after I located the cache, I took my time and waited to get some great satellite coverage to record a waypoint right above the cache (WAAS averaged). See the coordinates assigned to this log. I hope this helps. I signed to log book, took nothing and left nothing.

Thank you for the great time outdoors!
Regards,
Fabien.

Very nice job, had Ketchup with me and he actually huckle-buckled me, gps was a little off but came in from different directions and finally found the cache. Took Lamb pez dispenser and pizza hut kalidiscope key chain, left a Bertrand Chaffee Hospital pill box, handy snipper scissors and a first aid kit. Thanx for the adventure.

6th cache of the day w/ Sue (Lyndon Rd gang), my 1st nighttime cache walking in the woods, glad I had a good flashlight. Path was nice but a bit hard to follow in the dark because of all the leaves but we found the cache at 7:05PM. While logging we did see a couple of hikers coming from opposite direction, turned off our flashlights and they passed by w/o seeing us. Left lei.
Did try to go farther down path to get to Chestnut Ridge cache, but turned back when we kept losing the GPS signals and came to a creek where we couldn't make out where the path was on other side. Will have to try to make it back to this park in daylight when in town again cuz it sounds real nice. Thanks for a great time.

This was the second one of the day. We first stopped at Buffalo Bill's. Nice job with the cache. Took nothing and left nothing other than a log entry.

First of two caches today. Travelling with MrMom, Cory27 & Goo. GPS got us to cache sight pretty easily around 2:50pm. However, only the white lid was there. Plunderers must have arrived shortly before we did. Found rest of cache about five minutes later along the trail. Tried to place cache in correct spot as best we could and concealed it with many pieces of log and bark.

Road Kill was here and enjoyed my first meeting of cachers in the field. So I make the find, signed the logbook, trade out and just as I'm putting the camera away my dog gives a bark as someone is headed our way. I spot the extended arm as a giveaway to cachers and no time to rehide the cache. I choose to set tight and wait for the enevitable. Sure enough - they nearly walk by, stop, chat a bit, turn and walk my way. Road Kill was caught red handed. The part that made is worse was that it was their first cache and I literally have to say "here it is".

A brave but well hidden cache, so close to a busy trail. This is a late posting. We logged the cache on our Thanksgiving visit to relatives in Buffalo. We found the cache in good condition but stuffed to the point that the box would not close and seal. We exchanged the bulkiest item, a Looney Tunes puzzle, for our whistle, compass, and thermometer zipper pull and managed to get the box shut.
Thanks for the adventure. Please post the coordinates for the flame next time. We tried to follow the trail. but lost it under the leaves.

It was getting late but we didn't give up. We parked on the road (after hours!) and had a very nice walk
to the cache site. GPS was not doing too bad but we had to be creative anyway just to find the cache.
Chickenlips found it after about 5 minutes of waking in circles. We took the travel board game and left a
compass. We continued down to the eternal flame(we had to light it) and climbed out of the bottom in
the dark. A good move, since it was actually much shorter than the trail we had entered on. Thanks for
our 2nd cache find today.

swarming with hikers. But we trudged on. Fearless leader again was loosing his signal but at least we did fewer cirlces than the last site (Boy are we getting in shape). Anyway son found this one. We took tatoo book. wooden smiley leg thing, and post it notes. Left pirate eye patch from the Elcott pirate festival, a 6 in 1 travel game set with all the pieces and either a NYSEG light indicator or Robin Hood...got these two mixed up from previous cache........After we wrote in the book (boy were there a lot of people around). We went to the eternal flame....have photos and can send these to cache owner if that person wants. The walk to the flame is tougher than to the cache site....basically follow the trail until it ys then turn left and follow the creek all the way to the end. Quite a site! and a bit of a walk....Went to McDs after..We were all starving........Great day and great site!
